Health and afety

The use of any electrical appliance requires the following common sense safety rules.

Please read these instructions carefully before using the product.

•WARNING: Misuse of the appliance could cause personal

injury.

• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and

above if they have been given supervision or instruction

concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and if they

understand the hazards involved. Cleaning and user

maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are

older than 8 and supervised. Keep the appliance and its cord

out of the reach of children aged less than 8 years.

• f the mains cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the

manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified person in

order to avoid a hazard.

• Appliances can be used by persons with reduced physical,

sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and

knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction

concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand

the hazards involved.

• The appliance is fitted with a heating element which is subject

to residual heat after use.

• Children shall not play with the appliance.

• This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar

applications such as: farm houses, by clients in hotels, motels

and other residential type environments, and bed and

breakfast type environments. t is not suitable for use in staff

kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working

environments.

Location

• Always locate your appliance away from the edge of the worktop.

• Ensure that the appliance is used on a firm, flat surface.

• Do not use the appliance outdoors or near water.

• WARNING: Do not place the appliance onto a metal tray or

metal surface whilst in use.

Mains cable

• Do not let the mains cable hang over the edge of the worktop

where a child could reach it.

• Do not let the mains cable run across an open space e.g.

between a low socket and a table.

• Do not let the mains cable run across a cooker or other hot area

which might damage the cable.

• The mains cable should reach from the socket to the base unit

without straining the connections.

Personal safety

• WARNING: To protect against fire, electric shock and personal

injury do not immerse cord, plug and appliance in water or

any other liquid.

• Unplug from the outlet before cleaning.

• Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts and

before cleaning.

• Do not move the Coffee Maker while switched on.

Other safety considerations

• The use of attachments or tools not recommended or sold by

Morphy Richards, may cause fire, electric shock or injury.

• Do not use the appliance for any use other than its intended

purpose.

• Do not place the appliance on or near a hot gas or

electric burner or in a heated oven.

• WARNING: The appliance must not be immersed for cleaning.

• CAUT ON: To prevent damage to the appliance, do not use

alkaline cleaning agents when cleaning. Use a soft cloth and

detergent.

Electrical requirements

Should the fuse in the mains plug require changing, a 13 amp

BS1362 fuse must be fitted.

WARNING: This appliance must be earthed.

Emplacement de l’appareil

• Veillez à placer l’appareil loin du bord du plan de travail.

• Posez l’appareil sur une surface solide et plate.

Câble d’alimentation

• Ne laissez pas le câble d’alimentation pendre par-dessus le

rebord du plan de travail car un enfant pourrait l’atteindre.

• Ne laissez pas le câble d’alimentation traverser un espace

accessible, par exemple entre une prise murale basse et une

table.

• Ne laissez jamais le cordon d’alimentation passer sur une

cuisinière ni aucune autre surface chaude qui pourrait

l’endommager.

• Placez l’appareil de manière à ce que le cordon d’alimentation

Aufstellort

• Stellen Sie das Gerät stets in ausreichender Entfernung von der

Kante einer Arbeitsplatte auf.

• Das Gerät auf einer fest stehenden, flachen Oberfläche benutzen.

• Das Gerät nicht im Freien oder in der Nähe von Wasser benutzen.

• WARNHINWEI : Das Gerät während des Gebrauchs nicht auf

ein Metalltablett oder auf eine andere Metallfläche stellen.

Netzkabel

• Das Netzkabel nicht über die Kante der Arbeitsplatte herabhängen

lassen. Ein Kind könnte daran ziehen.

• Das Netzkabel nicht über eine offene Fläche verlegen, z. B.

zwischen einer tief angebrachten Steckdose und einem Tisch.

• Verlegen Sie das Netzkabel nicht über einen Herd oder eine

andere heiße Fläche. Das Kabel könnte beschädigt werden.

• Das Netzkabel muss bei der Verlegung von der Steckdose bis

zum Unterteil des Geräts eine gewisse Bewegungsfreiheit

besitzen und darf nicht zu straff angespannt sein.

Eigene icherheit

• WARNHINWEI : Zum chutz vor Brand, tromschlag und vor

Verletzungen weder das Kabel, noch den tecker oder das

Gerät in Wasser oder andere Flüssigkeiten tauchen.

• Vor dem Säubern den Netzstecker ziehen.

• Auskühlen lassen, bevor Teile hinzugefügt oder entfernt werden

sowie

vor dem Reinigen.

• Die Kaffeemaschine im eingeschalteten Zustand nicht umsetzen.

Weitere icherheitshinweise

• Bei der Benutzung von Auf- oder Einsätzen, die nicht von Morphy

Richards empfohlen oder vertrieben werden, besteht Brand-,

Stromschlag- und Verletzungsgefahr.

• Das Gerät soll ausschließlich nur für den vorgesehenen Zweck

verwendet werden.

• Das Gerät nicht in die Nähe eines heißen, mit Gas oder

Strom betriebenen Brenners oder in einen beheizten Ofen stellen.

• WARNHINWEI : Zum Reinigen das Gerät niemals in Wasser

tauchen.

• VORS CHT: Um Schäden am Gerät zu vermeiden, zum Reinigen

keine alkalischen Reinigungsmittel benutzen. Ein weiches Tuch

und etwas Spülmittel verwenden.

Elektrischer Anschluss

Falls die Sicherung im Sicherungshalter ausgetauscht werden

muss, ist eine Sicherung mit 13 A gemäß BS1362 zu verwenden.

WARNUNG: Dieses Gerät muss an eine geerdete teckdose

angeschlossen werden.

Plaatsing

• Plaats uw apparaat altijd uit de buurt van de rand van het

werkblad.

• Zorg ervoor dat het apparaat op een stevig en vlak oppervlak

wordt geplaatst.

• Gebruik het apparaat niet buitenshuis of in de buurt van water.

• WAAR CHUWING: Zet het apparaat tijdens het gebruik nooit

op een metalen dienblad of ander metalen oppervlak.

Netsnoer

• Laat het netsnoer niet over de rand van het aanrecht hangen,

binnen het bereik van kinderen.

• Laat het netsnoer niet in een open ruimte hangen, bijvoorbeeld

tussen een laag stopcontact en een tafel.

• Laat het netsnoer niet over een kookplaat of een ander heet

oppervlak lopen. Hierdoor kan de kabel beschadigen.

• Het netsnoer moet van de stekker naar het basisstation lopen,

zonder dat de aansluitingen worden belast.

Persoonlijke veiligheid

• WAAR CHUWING: Voorkom brand, elektrische schokken en

lichamelijk letsel: dompel het snoer, de stekker of de

waterkoker nooit in water of andere vloeistoffen.

• Trek de stekker uit het stopcontact voordat u het apparaat reinigt.

• Laat de waterkoker afkoelen

voor u het apparaat opnieuw aanzet, reinigt of onderdelen

verwijdert.

• Verplaats het koffiezetapparaat N ET terwijl het aanstaat.

Overige veiligheidsinstructies

• Gebruik alleen accessoires of gereedschappen die door Morphy

Richards aanbevolen of verkocht worden. Niet-aanbevolen

accessoires of gereedschappen kunnen brand, elektrische

schokken of letsel tot gevolg hebben.

• Gebruik het apparaat alleen waarvoor het bedoeld is.

• Plaats het apparaat nooit in de buurt van een heet gasfornuis,

een elektrisch fornuis of in een hete oven.

• WAAR CHUWING: Bij het reinigen mag het apparaat niet

onder water worden gedompeld.

• VOORZ CHT G: Om schade aan het apparaat te voorkomen, dient

u geen reinigingsmiddelen met alkaline te gebruiken. Gebruik een

zacht(e) doek en een schoonmaakmiddel.

Elektrische vereisten

Als de zekering van de stekker vervangen moet worden, moet een
