applicableatthetime of delivery
apply for the sale and delivery of
Oventrop.
2.5 Storage
The valve may only be stored
underthefollowingconditions:
- Storagetemperature:-4to
+140°F(-20°Cto+60°C)
- Keepdryandprotectedfrom
dust.
- PreventUVradiationand
directsunlight.
- The valve (including accesso-
ries and spare parts) must not
bestoredtogetherinthesame
room with solvents, chemi-
cals,acids,fuels,orthelike.
3. Safety Notices
3.1 IntendedUse
The Oventrop "Hydrocontrol
MTR" valve (lead-free ≤ 0.25%
Pb) is intended for installation
in heating and cooling system
pipework.
Anyuseofthevalvebeyondthis
or other than this, particularly
in drinking water systems, is
not the use it is intended for.
In addition, the valve is not suit-
able for gases or media that
contain oil or are aggressive.
The manufacturer will not be
liableforthesekindsofnon-in-
tended use. The risk will be
bornebytheuseralone.
Theeventofanexternalrewas
not taken into consideration
whendesigningthevalve.

Whenassemblingheavy
valves, only use suitable
lifting equipment and
slings.Useprotective
equipment.
Attachslingsforliftingthe
fittings to the housing body
only.
Do not use attached parts
such as handwheels and
metering valves as
connection points for
lifting equipment.
Wearpersonalsafety
equipment(e.g.safety
boots).
CAUTION
Whereapplicable,wear
safety gloves when
assemblingand
disassemblingthevalve.

3.4 Personnel
Qualications
The heating, gas, and water
technician must be capable of
workingonheatingandaircon-
ditioningsystemsbasedonspe-
cialist training, experience, and
knowledgeofthecorresponding
standards.Theymustbeableto
recognizepotentialrisksontheir
own.

Description
4.1 Setup & Functions
The"Hydrocontrol MTR" balan-
cingvalve(lead-free≤0.25%Pb)
isintended forshutoffandba-
lancing in hydronic heating and
cooling systems. The Y-pattern
globe valve has a multi-turn
hand wheel and two measuring
ports. It is available with NPT
threaded connections or solde-
redconnections.
