Introduction
The same drying power at half the noise!
This new Philips beauty hairdryer has been
specially designed to meet your personal needs.
The settings give you maximum control and allow
you to select the speed and temperature settings
that are suitable for medium length hair.With the
attachments you can dry your hair efficiently and
create the style you want.
This new super silent hairdryer incorporates two
innovations:a new kind of fan and a more quiet
motor,resulting in a hairdryer that is almost half as
loud as a normal 1800-watt Philips hairdryer.The
combination of settings and the attachments
allow you to dry and style your hair in a pleasantly
quiet way.
Important
◗Check if the voltage indicated on the
appliance corresponds to the local mains
voltage before you connect the appliance.
◗Keep this appliance away from water! Do not
use this product near or over water
contained in baths,washbasins,sinks etc.
When used in a bathroom,unplug the
appliance after use since the proximity of
water presents a risk,even when the
hairdryer is switched off.
◗For additional protection,we advise you to
install a residual current device (RCD) with a
rated residual operating current not

exceeding 30mA in the electrical circuit
supplying the bathroom.Ask your installer for
advice.
◗Keep the appliance out of the reach of
children.
◗Never block the air grilles.
◗If the appliance overheats,it will switch off
automatically.Unplug the appliance and let it
cool down for a few minutes.Before you
switch the appliance on again,check the grilles
to make sure they are not blocked by fluff,
hair,etc.
◗Always switch the appliance off before putting
it down,even if it is only for a moment.
◗Always unplug the appliance after use.
Drying
C1Select the desired air speed setting and
temperature setting.
I: gentle airflow.
II: strong airflow for fast drying.
O: off.
6: Care setting for drying sensitive hair.
m: Medium temperature.
mm: High temperature.
C2Hold the hairdryer at a small distance
from your head to dry your hair.

Fixing
With a shot of cool air you can fix the hairstyle
you have created.
C1Keep the button of the Cool shot pressed
in for a cool airflow.Finish off by releasing
the button.
Styling attachments
Concentrator
◗The concentrator enables you to direct the
airflow at the brush or comb with which you
are styling your hair.
C1Connect the concentrator by simply
snapping it onto the appliance.Disconnect
it by pulling it off.
2-in-1 Diffuser
◗The 2-in-1 diffuser enables you to either
create optimal volume or to dry your hair
with a gentle airflow.
C1Connect the diffuser by simply snapping it
onto the appliance.Disconnect it by pulling
it off.

Volume position
Use theVolume position to add volume at the
roots of your hair.
C1Turn the ring clockwise.All air will now
flow through the special pins of the
Diffuser.
2Insert the pins into your hair until they
touch your scalp.
C3Start at the lower part of your head and
move slowly upwards.Make rotating
movements with the appliance to diffuse
the warm air evenly through your hair.Use
the Care temperature setting,with a
gentle airflow.
Care position
Use the Care position to prevent your hair from
becoming frizzy and from being blown out of
style.
C1Turn the ring anti-clockwise.All air will
now flow through the apertures in the
base of the Diffuser.
2Hold the Diffuser at approx.10 cm from
your head to allow the hair to dry
gradually.Use your free hand to knead the
hair into shape.Use the Care temperature
setting,with a gentle airflow.

Cleaning
◗The appliance can be cleaned with a dry cloth.
◗The attachments can be cleaned with a moist
cloth or rinsed under a running tap.
Make sure the attachments are dry before using
or storing them.
Replacement
◗If the mains cord of this appliance is damaged,
it must always be replaced by a service centre
authorised by Philips,as special tools and/or
parts are required.
◗Always return the appliance to a service
centre authorised by Philips for examination
or repair.Repair by unqualified people could
