Introduction

This new Philips Satin curl aqua has been specially designed to give

beautiful styling results in a quick and easy way. Its steam function allows

you to make healthy and shiny curls or waves at any time.

Important

Read these instructions for use carefully before using the appliance and

save them for future reference.

◗Check if the voltage indicated on the appliance corresponds to

the local mains voltage before you connect the appliance.

◗Check the condition of the mains cord regularly. Do not use the

appliance if the plug, the cord or the appliance itself is damaged.

◗If the mains cord is damaged, it must be replaced by Philips, a

service centre authorised by Philips or similarly qualified persons

in order to avoid a hazard.

◗Keep this appliance away from water! Do not use this product

near or over water contained in baths, washbasins, sinks etc. If

you use it in a bathroom, unplug the appliance after use, since the

proximity of water presents a risk.

◗For additional protection we advise you to install a residual

current device (RCD) with a rated residual operating current

not exceeding 30mA in the electrical circuit supplying the

bathroom.Ask your installer for advice.

◗Keep the appliance out of the reach of children.

◗Only use the appliance on dry or damp hair.

◗The barrel of the brush becomes hot during use. Prevent contact

with the skin.

◗If the appliance falls into water, unplug it immediately and never

use it again.

◗Wait until the appliance has cooled down before storing it.

◗Always unplug the appliance after use.

◗Do not wind the mains cord round the appliance.

Preparing for use

1Unscrew the Cool Tip water reservoir from the brush (fig. 1).

2Fill the reservoir with water to the maximum level indication

under a gently running tap (fig. 2).

3Hold the appliance vertically with the brush end pointing

downwards, and screw the reservoir back onto the brush (fig. 3).

4Unscrew the reservoir a quarter turn and tighten it again to

ensure proper fastening and to prevent leakage.

Using the appliance

BBefore styling, comb or brush your hair so that it is completely

untangled and smooth.

BWe advise you to perform a curl test to determine how long the brush

should be held in your hair to achieve a good result. Start with 8 to

10 seconds.You may have to hold the brush in your hair longer for

tighter curls. Less tight curls will require less than 8 seconds.

1Insert the mains plug into the wall socket (fig. 4).

The pilot light goes on and the appliance starts heating up.

◗The appliance is ready for use after approx. 15 minutes.

2Start styling when the ready dot on the attachment changes

colour (fig. 5).

3Take a lock of hair and wind it round the brush. Make sure the

end of the lock is wound in the required direction (fig. 6).

Do not wind too much hair round the barrel at a time.

The thinner the lock of hair, the tigher the curl will be.

Do not wind a lock of hair more than twice round the brush.

Make sure the lock of hair is in contact with the barrel of the brush.

4Activate the steam function by pushing the Cool Tip water

reservoir into the barrel. Keep it pressed in for up to 3 seconds

before releasing it (fig. 7).

One push will suffice to set one curl or wave.

5Hold the brush in place as long as required (normally 8 to

10 seconds) (fig. 8).

6To remove the brush from your hair, push the button and slide

the brush out of your hair (fig. 9).

Make sure you keep the brush away from the underlying hair when

you remove it.

7Let the curls cool down before combing, brushing or finger-

combing the hair to finish your style (fig. 10).

Cleaning

Always unplug the appliance before cleaning it.

Never rinse the appliance with water.

1Clean the appliance with a small brush or a dry cloth.

2To prevent the build-up of scale, put 3-4 drops of vinegar in the

Cool Tip water reservoir, top it up with water and plug in the

appliance.After a few minutes, i.e. when the ready dot has turned

black, activate the steam function for 3 seconds.Activate the

steam function 10 more times, then unplug the appliance and

rinse the Cool Tip water reservoir with fresh water.

Storage

Always unplug the appliance before storing it.

◗Unscrew the Cool Tip water reservoir and pour out the

remaining water (fig. 11).

◗Put the appliance in a safe place and let it cool down before

storing it.

◗Do not wind the mains cord round the appliance.

specjalnie po to, aby łatwo i szybko można było modelowa włosy.

Funkcja pary zapewnia uzyskanie błyszczących loków i fal.

Ważne

Przed pierwszym użyciem urządzenia zapoznaj się dokładnie z instrukcją

jego obsługi i zachowaj ją na przyszłoś , do ewentualnej konsultacji.

◗Przed podłączeniem urządzenia upewnij się, czy napięcie podane

na urządzeniu jest zgodne z napięciem w sieci elektrycznej.

◗Sprawdzaj regularnie stan kabla zasilającego. Nie wolno korzystać

z urządzenia, je li uszkodzone są: wtyczka, kabel zasilający lub

samo urządzenie.

◗Je li przewód zasilający ulegnie uszkodzeniu, musi zostać

Porozum się w tej sprawie z wykwalifikowanym elektrykiem.

Prz gotowanie do uż cia

1Odkręć zbiornik na wodę (Cool Tip) ze szczotki (Rys. 1).

2Napełnij zbiornik wodą z kranu do poziomu MAX (Rys. 2).

3Trzymaj urządzenie w pozycji pionowej ze szczotką zwróconą ku

dołowi i wkręć zbiornik ponownie na szczotkę (Rys. 3).

4Odkręć zbiornik o ćwierć obrotu i ponownie przykręć, by

upewnić się, że jest on wła ciwie zamocowany i nie będzie

przeciekał.

Uż cie urządzenia

BPrzed przystąpieniem do modelowania rozczesz włosy grzebieniem lub

szczotką, aby były gładkie i niesplątane.

BRadzimy wykonanie testu układania włosów w celu stwierdzenia, jak

długo należy utrzymywać szczotk we włosach, aby uzyskać właściwy

rezultat. Na początku należy układać włosy przez 8 -10 sekund. W celu

uzyskania mocniej skr conych loków może okazać si konieczne

utrzymywanie szczotki przez dłuższy czas. Mniej ciasne loki b dą

wymagać czasu krótszego niż 8 sekund.

1Wetknij wtyczkę do gniazdka ciennego (Rys. 4).

Zaświeci się lampka kontrolna i urządzenie zacznie się rozgrzewa .

◗Urządzenie jest gotowe do pracy po ok. 15 minutach.

2Rozpocznij układanie, gdy zmieni się kolor diody, oznaczając

gotowo ć do pracy (Rys. 5).

3Weź pasmo włosów i owiń je wokół szczotki. Sprawdź czy koniec

loka nawinięty jest we wła ciwym kierunku (Rys. 6).

Nie zawijaj za jednym razem zbyt dużo włosów wokół wałka.

Im cieńsze jest pasmo włosów, tym ciaśniejszy będzie skręt loka.

Nie owijaj pasma włosów wokół szczotki więcej niż dwa razy.

Upewnij się, że pasemko dokładnie przylega do wałka szczotki.

4Włącz funkcję pary, wciskając do wałka zbiornik z wodą Cool Tip.

Przytrzymaj go wci nięty przez czas nie przekraczający trzech

sekund, po czym zwolnij nacisk (Rys. 7).

Podczas wyjmowania szczotki pamiętaj o trzymaniu jej z dala od

niższego poziomu włosów.

7Poczekaj na ostudzenie się loków przed nadaniem im

ostatecznego kształtu za pomocą grzebienia, szczotki lub palców

(Rys. 10).

Cz szczenie urządzenia

Zanim zaczniesz czy cić urządzenie, zawsze wyjmij wtyczkę z

gniazdka sieciowego.

Lokówki nie wolno płukać w strumieniu bieżącej wody.

1Oczy ć urządzenie używając do tego celu małej szczotki lub

suchej szmatki.

2Aby zapobiec tworzeniu się kamienia, do zbiornika z wodą Cool

Tip dodaj 3-4 krople octu, wypełnij zbiornik wodą i włącz

urządzenie, wtykając wtyczkę do gniazdka sieciowego. Po kilku

minutach, gdy czerwona plamka zmieni kolor na czarny, włącz na

3 sekundy funkcję pary. Dziesięciokrotnie uruchom funkcję pary,

następnie wyjmij wtyczkę z gniazdka sieciowego i wypłucz wieżą

wodą zbiornik z wodą Cool Tip.

Przechow wanie

Przed schowaniem urządzenia zawsze wyjmij wtyczkę z gniazdka

sieciowego.

◗Odkręć zbiornik na wodę Cool Tip i wylej pozostałą w nim wodę

(Rys. 11).

◗Odstaw urządzenie w bezpieczne miejsce i odczekaj, aż ostygnie.

◗Nie zawijaj kabla zasilającego wokół urządzenia.
