Enter/Select -

Contact Directory

Contacts can be added from Call Lists. Refer to the Call History section for more information.

Add a Contact

1. Press the Dir soft key, and then select <New Entry>.

2. Press to enter a contact into the phone’s database.

3. Enter the first name using the dial pad.

4. Press the Ok or Cancel soft keys to accept or cancel changes.

5. Press to display the next field in the contact’s entry.

6. Repeat steps 2 - 5 to enter the last name and a unique contact phone number (not already in the

directory).

7. Change the other fields, if applicable.

8. Press to end data entry.

9. Press the Yes or Cancel soft keys to accept or cancel changes, then press twice to return to

the idle screen.

Search for a Contact

1. Press the Dir soft key.

2. Enter the first characters of the last name using the dial pad. For example, to find the directory entry

for a last names starting with J, press the 5 key once. Dial the successful match from the resulting

search screen.

Edit a Contact

1. Search for contact (see above).

2. Press the Edit soft key and make the necessary changes.

3. Press to end data entry.

4. Press the Yes soft key to accept your changes, and then press twice to return to the idle

screen.

Speed Dial

Speed dial contacts are created when adding contacts to the Contact Directory.

1. Press the corresponding Line key to dial a speed dial contact using the assigned speed dial index from

1 – 99.

2. Enter the assigned index.

3. Press the Dial soft key.

Call History

From the Idle Screen

•Press for Speed Dial.

•Press for Received Calls.

•Press for Placed Calls.

-OR-

Press , and then select Features > Call Lists > Missed Calls, Received Calls, or Placed Calls.

Call information displays.

•Select a call and press to dial the number. You can also delete the entry, save the contact

information, or see information about the call.

Call Functions

Place Calls

Handset

Pick up the handset and dial the number. Or, dial the number first and then pick up the handset.

Hands-Free Speakerphone

1. With the handset on-hook, press , an assigned line key, or the NewCall soft key.

2. Enter or dial the number.

3. Press or , or the Line key.

Headset

With the headset connected, press , an assigned line key, or the NewCall soft key.

-OR-

Dial the number and press .

Redial

1. Press to display the Placed Call list.

2. Scroll to select the recipient and press again.

Answer Calls

•Handset - pick up the handset.

•Speakerphone - press , the Line key, or the Answer soft key.

•Headset - press .

Note: Press the Reject soft key to deny an incoming call.

End Calls

•Press the End Call soft key.

•Press , , or hang up the handset depending on the call mode.

Call Hold/Resume

1. Press during a call.

2. Press again, the Resume soft key, or the Line key to resume the call.

Transfer Calls

Consulted Transfer

1. Press the Trans soft key during a call. The active call is placed on hold.

2. Dial the party to whom you wish to transfer the call.

3. After speaking with the second party, press the Trans soft key to complete the transfer.

Blind Transfer

1. Press the Trans soft key during a call.

2. Press the Blind soft key.

3. Enter the extension of the number to which you want to transfer.

Transfer to Voice Mail

1. Press the Trans soft key during a call.

2. Enter *55.

3. At the prompt, enter the extension of the party to which you want to transfer and press the #key.

Note: Press the Cancel soft key to cancel transfer and resume the call.

Forward Calls

You can configure this feature on the My Phone dashboard. Refer to the Call Forwarding User Guide for more

information. Call Forwarding is not available on shared lines.

Enable

1. Press .

2. Select Features > Forward.

3. Select a Forwarding Type: Always, No Answer, or Busy.

4. For No Answer, select the number of rings before forwarding.

5. Enter the number to which calls should be forwarded.

6. Select OK.

7. Press the down arrow key and the word Disabled appears.

8. Press OK when you see Enabled.

9. Press <to save, and then press Yes.

10. Press the Enable soft key to confirm Call Forwarding. A moving arrow icon appears for that line.

Disable

11. Press .

12. Select Features > Forward.

13. Select Disable.

Adjust Call Volume

•Press to adjust the call volume of the active call.

•Press while in idle mode to adjust the ring volume.

Note: To conform to regulatory requirements, handset and headset volume returns to a preset level after

each call, but the configuration can be changed by your system administrator. Hands-free volume

settings are maintained across calls.

Mute

1. Press during a call so other parties cannot hear you.

2. Press again to disable Mute. This applies to calls using the handset, headset, and speakerphone.

Feature Access Codes

In addition to managing your phone features from your phone and My Phone dashboard, you can also use

Feature Access Codes. Refer to the Feature Access Codes Reference Guide for a list of codes.

Conference Calls

1. Connect to the first party.

2. Press the Conf soft key to create a new call. The active call is placed on hold.

3. Place a call to the second party.

4. When the second party answers, press the Conf soft key again to join all parties in the conference.

•Placing the conference on hold places all parties on hold.

•Press the Split soft key to split the conference into two separate calls on hold.

•Press the Join soft key to create a conference between an active and held call.

Voice Mail

Use the default password you received in your welcome email to set up your voice mail. You can configure

this feature on the My Phone dashboard. Refer to the Voice Mail User Guide for more information.

Setup

1. Press .

2. Select Features > Messages.

3. Press the Connect soft key.

4. Enter your default passcode.

5. Enter a new passcode. Passcodes must be between 4 - 8 digits.

6. Enter your new passcode again.

7. Record your personalized name (e.g., your first and last name).

8. Press #to save.

9. Press 2to record your Busy Greeting. This is the message callers hear if you are on an active call.

•Press 1to record your Busy Greeting Message.

•Press #to save and return to the previous menu.

10. Press 3to record your No Answer Greeting. This is the message callers hear if you do not answer.

•Press 1to record your No Answer Greeting.

•Press #to save and return to the previous menu.

Retrieve Messages

You are alerted that you have messages by a voice mail icon on the screen, a flashing line key, and a red

message waiting indicator light.

1. Press .

2. Select Features > Messages.

3. Press the Connect soft key and follow the voice prompts.

4. Enter your passcode and press #.

5. Press 1to access your voice mailbox.

Do Not Disturb

You can configure this feature on the My Phone dashboard. Refer to the Do Not Disturb User Guide for more

information.

1. Press .

2. Select Features > Do Not Disturb > Enable to prevent your phone from ringing. All call will go to voice

mail if you have an active voice mailbox.

Ring Type

You can select different rings to match your preferences and distinguish between calls on lines.

1. Press .

2. Select Settings > Basic > Ring Type.

3. Scroll to highlight the ring type you want.

4. Press the Play soft key to hear it.

5. Press or the Select soft key to accept the ring type.

6. Press to return to the idle screen.

Note: If you select Silent, press the Line key or Answer soft key to answer incoming calls.
