Charging Instructions
This soldering is rechargeable. Using the supplied cable, insert the Micro USB con-
nector into the end of the soldering iron, and the USB connector to a wall charger /
computer port.
A full charge will take approximately 3.5 hours. Once charged, the indicator light will
turn green.

Soldering Instructions
1. Thoroughly clean and remove oil and other contaminants from the parts to be
soldered.
2. Use only small amounts of solder. Excess solder can cause a short circuit.
3. Slide the soldering iron switch to the ON position and press and hold the power
button. The LED light will illuminate indicating that the iron is on.
4. Allow the tip to reach working temperature (about 10 seconds). Apply a small amount
of solder to tapered surface of tip. Remove excess solder with a damp soft rag or
sponge.
5. Tin wires by heating the bare wire and allowing a small amount of solder to À ow onto
the tip of the wire.
6. Touch the tapered surface of the tip (not the point) to the joint to be soldered. Heat
joint and allow heat from joint to melt solder.
7. Allow a small amount of solder to À ow into the joint.
8. To ensure a strong joint, do not touch or move the joint until it has cooled completely.
Heat Shrink Instructions
1. Slide soldering iron switch to the ON position and press and hold the power button.
The LED light will illuminate indicating the iron is on.
2. Keep the shrink tip moving back and forth along the length of tube(less than diameter
4.0mm), as staying in one place can damage the tube or wire even further.
3. Continue heating the tube until it is tightly secured to the wire.
How To Replace The Tip
1. Ensure soldering iron switch is in the OFF position. Allow tip to cool completely
before replacing tip.
2. Use only genuine replacement tips.
3. Unscrew old tip by rotating translucent locking nut counterclockwise.
4. Screw in new tip by rotating translucent locking nut clockwise until it snaps on lock
position. Note: Align the notch on the housing to install the new tip.
5. Do not ¿ le tip.

WARNINGS
• When used for soldering and similar applications, this product contains or produces
chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other

• Potential electrical shock. Do not use soldering iron if housing is cracked or
damaged. Never use in wet area. Do not attempt to repair or modify soldering iron.

• Never touch the tip of a hot soldering iron or attempt to remove solder from the
tip with your hands.
• Do not use in the fabrication or repair of potable water service systems.
• Always rest the soldering iron where heat from soldering iron cannot damage
nearby items.
• Ensure that switch is in the OFF position when the iron is not in use.
• Tip remains hot after use for several minutes. Ensure tip is cool before storing
the soldering iron. Never leave soldering iron unattended.
• Do not disassemble or modify the battery. The battery contains safety and
protection devices which if damaged, may cause the battery to generate heat,
rupture or ignite.

From the date of purchase, we will warranty / repair Power Probe Tek products for
one (1) year against defects in parts and workmanship. All repair due to misuse will be
charged a fee not to exceed the cost of the tool.
All warranty units must be accompanied by a copy of the original sales receipt. In the
event of a malfunction or defective unit, please contact your Power Probe Tek dealer.

Instrucciones de soldadura
1. Limpie y elimine a fondo el aceite y otros contaminantes de las piezas a soldar.
2. Use solo pequeñas cantidades de soldadura. El exceso de soldadura puede causar
un cortocircuito.
3. Deslice el interruptor del soldador a la posición ON, presione y mantenga el botón de
encendido. La luz LED se iluminará indicando que el soldador está encendido.
4. Espere a que la punta alcance la temperatura de trabajo (aproximadamente 10
segundos). Aplique una pequeña cantidad de soldadura a la super¿ cie cónica de la
punta. Elimine el exceso de soldadura con un trapo o una esponja suave y húmeda.
5. Estañe el cable calentando el cable desnudo y permitiendo que una pequeña
cantidad de soldadura À uya sobre la punta del cable.
6. Toque la super¿ cie cónica de la punta (no la punta) con la unión a soldar. Caliente la
unión y permita que el calor de la unión funda la soldadura.
7. Haga que una pequeña cantidad de soldadura À uya hacia la unión.
8. Para asegurar una unión fuerte, no la toque ni la mueva hasta que se haya enfriado
por completo.
Instrucciones Termorretracción
1. Deslice el interruptor del soldador a la posición ON, presione y mantenga presionado

2. Mantenga la punta termorretractil moviéndose hacia adelante y hacia atrás a lo largo
del tubo (de menos de 4.0 mm de diámetro), ya que de permanecer en un lugar de
forma permanente puede dañar el tubo o el cable.
3. Continúe calentando el tubo hasta que quede bien sujeto al cable.
Como remplazar la punta
1. Compruebe que el interruptor del soldador esté en la posición OFF. Deje que la
punta se enfríe completamente antes de remplazarla.
2. Utilice únicamente recambios originales.
3. Desenrosque la punta usada girando la tuerca de bloqueo translúcida en sentido anti
horario.
4. Atornille la nueva punta girando la tuerca de bloqueo translúcida en sentido horario
hasta que encaje en la posición de bloqueo. Nota: Alinee la muesca en la carcasa
para instalar la nueva punta.
5. No almacene las puntas.

Ajuste la dirección de la punta

dirección de la punta.
ADVERTENCIAS
