Please read these instructions thoroughly before using the pump. Observe the
safety regulations applicable in the relevant country. Not observing the safety
regulations may injure persons or damage the pump. Any guarantee and
approval will also become null and void, if the safety regulations are not
adhered to.
Children are not allowed to play with the device. Cleaning and maintenance is carried
out by the user.
Warning!
In case the device or the supply cable is damaged, it must be repaired or be replaced
by the manufacturer or a qualified person.
Never use the power cable to lift up the electric pump.
Disposal:
Do not dispose of the pump in the household waste. Use the separately set up collection
points. Ask your local authority for information on available collection points. If electrical
appliances are disposed of at a landfill there is a danger that hazardous substances escape
into the groundwater and through this into the food chain which will threaten your health
and well-being.
Caution:
1). The pump is only considered to be suitable for use as intended provided all safety
precautions are followed in compliance with the instructions.
2). You can carry the pump by the handle. But you can also attach a rope or a chain to the
handle for carrying.
3). Never run the pump in a dry condition.
4). If the pump is damaged or manipulated wilfully, the manufacturer cannot guarantee that
the pump works properly.
5). There is a small draining hole on the pump body and in the area of the upper cover. It is
quite normal for an electric pump that a little water drains off the hole during the
operation.

Application
The series of submersible pumps was developed to pump dirt water and clean water that
does not contain any particles. The pump can be operated manually or automatically or as
a portable suction pump for gardening work. It is also suitable for liquids in sewage
systems, rain water etc. Never operate this type of pump in the vicinity of hazardous
hydrocarbons (petrol, diesel, solvents etc.).
Switching functions
There are pressure sensors and flow sensors in the pump acting on the motor to start and
stop automatically.
1).Dry run protection – Upon being switched on the pump runs for 3 seconds; if there
is no water available the pump stops. The pump control tries to start 30 times
pausing 5 seconds in between. In case there is still no water available, the pump tries
to start at intervals of 20 seconds with a 5-second-pause in between; the pump
stops after 3 cycles. The pump tries again to start after 1 hour and should this
attempt fail, there will be a pause of 5 hours. In case there is still no water, the pump
will try to start every 24 hours, until liquid is available.
Attention
1). The pump should not be switched on more than twenty times per minute as this could
reduce the service life of the pump.
2). Danger of temperatures below zero: If the pump is stored at a temperature below
O°C, it must be ascertained that there is no more liquid in the pump to avoid that
parts of the pump are damaged.

Installation
1). If the pump is to operate with contaminated water, it is recommended that the
pump is positioned at a certain height to avoid that the pump inlet is clogged.
2).The most favourable operating condition is to immerse the electric pump
completely into water.
Electrical connection
1). Electrical parts must be connected and protected by complying with local regulations.
Please observe the operating voltage. Make sure that the power supply complies with
the electric motor.
2). If the pump works a long distance away from the power source, the electric pump
must be provided with a larger power cable diameter.
Warning
:
The pump is provided with a heat protection. If the pump switches off automatically due
to being overheated, it starts again automatically once the electric motor has cooled
down, as long as the power source is still available.
If the power cable is damaged or there is a kink in the cable. As soon as the power cable
has been damaged by an accident or is defective, the pump should not be used any
longer. Only let a qualified person rectify this damage.
The depth of immersing the electric pump is restricted by the length of the power cable.
Never use the pump when people are in the water.
Always take care that plug and sockets are dry.
Maintenance and cleaning
During standard operation the pump does not need to be professionally serviced.
But solid particles of contamination should be removed from the suction area. Anyway,
all repair work and maintenance should only be carried out once the device has been
taken off the power supply and is secured against being switched back on by
accident.
Repair and replacement
In case the pump is defective and has to be repaired, please send it to your authorised
dealer.

dangereux (essence, diesel, mazout, solvants, etc.).
