Protos Integral IN Bedienungsanleitung
Bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch Modell IN
Das Protos® Integral Modell IN und seine Bauteile entsprechen der Norm EN 397 und ist
passend für die Kopfgrößen 54–62 cm. In Verbindung mit dem Protos® Integral Maclip
Kinnriemen (Art. Nr.: 204043) wurde das Modell zusätzlich als Fahrradhelm nach der
EN1078* (Norm für Helme für Radfahrer und Benutzer von Skateboards und Inline-Skates)
zertifiziert und zugelassen.
*ACHTUNG! Dieser Kopfschutz entspricht neben der EN 397 nur dann auch der EN 1078,
wenn ausschließlich der Protos® Integral Maclip Kinnriemen (Art. Nr.: 204043) montiert
wird! Es dürfen keine anderen Kinnriemen bzw. Fremdprodukte montiert werden!
ACHTUNG! Auch nach Richtlinien und Normen geprüfte Helme bieten keine Garantie für
den Ausschluss von Verletzungen.
ACHTUNG! Nicht für Motorräder, Roller, Mopeds usw. zu verwenden.
ACHTUNG! Dieser Helm sollte nicht durch Kinder beim Klettern oder anderen Aktivitäten
verwendet werden, wenn ein Risiko besteht, sich zu strangulieren/hängen zu bleiben, falls
sich das Kind mit dem Helm verfängt.
Für die Gewährleistung eines möglichst hohen Schutzes, Comforts und hohe Funktiona-
lität vom Protos® Integral, ist es unbedingt erforderlich die folgenden Informationen zu
beachten und diese gut aufzubewahren!
Wichtige Hinweise!
1. Bitte beachten!
Keine Schutzausrüstung kann absoluten Schutz vor Verletzungen bieten. Der Grad der
Schutzwirkung hängt von sehr vielen Einflüssen ab. Dieser Protos® Integral und seine
Komponenten sind kein Ersatz, sondern eine Unterstützung für eine sichere Arbeitstech-
nik. Bitte beachten Sie die Sicherheitsbestimmungen der entsprechenden Behörden
(Berufsgenossenschaften, Behörden für Arbeitsschutz o.a.) und Sicherheitshinweise in
der Gebrauchsanleitung des benutzten Motorgerätes. Den Protos® Integral und seine
Komponenten vor jeder Benutzung auf einwandfreien Zustand überprüfen (beispielsweise
optischer Zustand). Bei Schäden oder Veränderungen den Protos® Integral und/oder die
Komponenten unverzüglich aussondern. Sorgen Sie dafür, dass diese Teile nicht wiederver-
wendet werden können!
2. Wahl der richtigen Größe
a) Der Protos® sollte nicht zu weit in die Stirn gezogen werden, damit die Sicht nicht
beeinträchtigt wird

b) Die Stirn muss geschützt sein. Deshalb sollte der Protos® nicht zu weit über den Hinter-
kopf geschoben werden
c) Der Protos ist richtig angepasst, wenn er waagerecht auf dem Kopf sitzt
Die Schutzwirkung wird nur dann erreicht, wenn der Protos® Integral optimal sitzt und das
Kopfband dem Kopfumfang angepasst wird. (Beachten Sie auch Punkt 3)
3. Wahl der richtigen Höhe
Um die optimale Schutzwirkung zu erreichen, stellen Sie die richtige Höhe des Protos®
Integral (3-stufig, links und rechts neben der Nackenschale) ein. (Beachten Sie dazu auch
Punkt 2)
4. Einstellung des Protos® Integral Maclip Kinnriemens
Ziehen Sie als nächsten den Kinnriemen auf bei-
den Seiten durch die Führungsfinger am hinteren
Teil der Nackenschale. Klappen Sie dazu am besten
die Nackenschale wieder nach innen.

Den „Einschubknopf hinten“ befestigen Sie mit
einem kräftigen Druck in der hinteren Einschuböse
unter der Nackenschale im Innenhelm.
5. Reinigung und Desinfizierung
Protos® Integral und seine Komponenten sind technische Produkte und benötigen
entsprechende Behandlung und Pflege zur Bewahrung der Sicherheitsfunktion. Zur
Reinigung, Pflege oder Desinfektion sind nur Substanzen zu verwenden, die sich nicht
nachteilig auf den Helm oder Träger auswirken! Helmschale und Innenausstattung können
mit handwarmem Seifenwasser (+30 °C bis +40 °C) gereinigt werden – nicht maschinell
reinigen! Nicht mit lösungsmittelhaltigen oder aggressiven Stoffen reinigen. Unsachgemä-
ße Reinigung und Pflege kann die Schutzwirkung des Produktes negativ beeinflussen.
6. Aufbewahrung und Lagerung
Die Originalverpackung aus Karton schützt das Produkt vor Schmutz und UV-Strahlen. Es
ist zu beachten, dass die Aufbewahrung in möglichst gut belüfteten, trockenen Räumen
erfolgen muss, geschützt vor extremen Temperaturen und Kontakt mit Flüssigkeiten oder
UV-Strahlung! Achten Sie zusätzlich darauf, dass der Protos® Integral nicht gedrückt gela-
gert wird! Achten Sie darauf, dass der Protos® Integral nicht gedrückt gelagert wird
Vorne am Kinnriemen finden Sie zwei weitere Einschub-
knöpfe. Befestigen Sie diese auf beiden Seiten in den
Einschubösen an der Helminnenschale (Kreis). Rasten Sie
die Einschubknöpfe mit einem leichten Ziehen ein, damit
diese zur Helminnenseite weisen.
TIPP!
Wenn Sie die endgültige Größe Ihres Kinnrie-
mens eingestellt haben, können Sie den über-
stehenden Kinnriemen abschneiden und danach
den Schnitt mit einem Feuerzeug verschmelzen.
Achten Sie auf eine gleichmäßige Spannung des
Kinnriemens auf beiden Seiten!

Um Funktion und Sicherheit zu gewährleisten dürfen nur Protos® Integral Original-Ersatz-
teile verwendet werden.
8. Zusatzanforderungen – Qualitätsanspruch
Der Protos® Integral hält auch sehr niedrigen Temperaturen (-30 °C) stand.
9. Transport
Transportieren Sie den Protos® Integral im mitgelieferten Karton bzw. in einem textilen
Schutzbeutel. Beim Transport Kontakt mit Flüssigkeit, hohen Temperaturen oder UV-
Strahlung (z.B. direktes Sonnen- und Tageslicht vor oder hinter Glasscheiben) vermeiden.
10. Beschädigungen vermeiden
Vermeiden Sie den Kontakt dieses Protos® Integral und seiner Komponenten mit spitzen
oder scharfen Gegenständen (Motorsägenkette, Metallwerkzeuge usw.), sowie den
Kontakt mit aggressiven Stoffen wie Säuren, Öle, Lösungsmittel, Kraftstoffe o.ä., um eine
Beeinträchtigung des Materials zu verhindern. Das Anbringen von Klebestreifen, Farbe,
Klebstoff oder selbstklebenden Etiketten ist zu unterlassen – dies kann die Schutzleistung
beeinträchtigen!
11. Gebrauchsdauer
Protos® Integral ab eingeprägtem Herstelldatum sind maximal 5 Jahre zu verwenden.
Unbedingt rechtzeitig ersetzen!
12. Wann darf der Protos® Integral nicht mehr verwendet werden?
Der Protos® Integral und seine Komponenten sind vor jeder Verwendung auf sichtbare
Mängel (Rissbildung, Farbveränderung usw.) zu überprüfen. Nach Beanspruchung (z.B. bei
einem Sturz oder Schlag) sind der Protos® Integral und/oder die Komponenten unverzüg-
lich auszuwechseln, auch dann, wenn die Beschädigungen äußerlich nicht sichtbar sind.
Jegliche Veränderung des Produktes und dessen Zubehör (z.B. das Anbringen von Bohrun-
gen an der Helmschale) kann die Schutzwirkung negativ beeinflussen und darf deshalb
nicht an diesem Produkt vorgenommen werden!

The Protos® Integral Model IN and its components comply with the EN 397 standard and
is suitable for the head sizes 54–62 cm. In conjunction with the Protos® Integral Maclip
Chinstrap (item no.: 204043) the model was additionally certified and approved as a
bicycle helmet according to the EN 1078* (standard for helmets for cyclists and users of
skateboards and inline skates)

Protos® Integral Maclip Chinstrap (item no.: 204043) is mounted! Other chinstrap or third-
party products may not be mounted!
WARNING! Also helmets certified according to guidelines and standards do not guarantee
the elimination of injuries.
WARNING! Not to be used for motorcycles, scooters, mopeds, etc.
WARNING! This helmet should not be used by children when climbing or for other
activities when there is a risk of strangulation/hanging if the child gets caught with the
helmet. To ensure the highest possible protection, comfort and high functionality of
Protos® Integral, it is essential to note the following information and keep it well!
Important Information
1. Please take note of the following!
No protective equipment can provide absolute protection from injury. The degree of
protection depends on many factors. This Protos® Integral and its components are not a
substitute for safe work practices. Please observe the safety provisions of the relevant
authorities (professional associations, government agencies for occupational health and
safetyand the like) and safety instructions in the manual of the power tool you use. Check
the Protos® Integral and its components before each use to make sure it is in good condition
(for example, visual check). Immediately discard the Protos® Integral and/or the components
if damages or changes are found. Make sure that these parts cannot be reused again!
2. Choosing the right size
a) The Protos® should not be pulled too far in the forehead, so the view is not impaired.
b) The forehead must be protected. Therefore, the Protos® should not be pushed too far
over the back of the head
c) The Protos® is properly adjusted when sitting horizontally on the head
The protective effect is only achieved if the Protos® Integral fits properly and the
headband isadjusted to the size of the head (also see point 3).
3. Choosing the right height
To achieve optimum protection, adjust the correct height of the Protos® Integral (3-stage
adjustment, left and right side of the neck guard) (also see point 2).

Now pull the chin strap through the guides on
both sides of the back part of the neck guard (to
do so, it is best to push the neck guard
outwards again).
Push the ‘back snap fastener’ into the socket in
theback under the neck guard on the inside of the
helmet by pushing down hard.
There are two more fasteners at the front of the
chin strap. Snap both of these into the sockets on
both sides (circles). Lock them into place by pulling
slightly, so that they point to the
inside of the helmet.
TIP!
Once you have made finaladjustments to your
chin strap, the excess part of the strap can be cut
off and the cut edge can then be melted using
a lighter.
Make sure the tension of the chin strap is the
same on both sides!
4. Adjustment of the Protos® Integral Maclip chinstrap5. Cleaning and disinfection
Protos® Integral are technical products and need appropriate treatment and care to pre-
serve their safety function. Only use substances for cleaning or disinfection that are not
detrimental to the helmet or wearer! The shell and interior of the helmet can be cleaned
with warm soapy water (do not use cleaning machines). Do not use cleaning agents that
contain solvents or aggressive substances. Improper cleaning and maintenance can adver-
sely affect the protective effect of the product.
6. Safekeeping and storage
The original cardboard packaging protects the product from dirt and UV rays. Please
note that the product should be kept in a well-ventilated, dry place, away from extreme
temperatures and contact with liquids or UV rays! Also ensure that the Protos® Integral is
not subjected to pressure when stored!

8. Additional requirements–quality standards
TheProtos® Integral can also withstandvery low temperatures (-30 °C).
9. Transport
Transport the Protos® Integral in the box provided or in a protective cloth bag. Avoid
contact with liquids or exposure to UV radiation during transport (e.g. shop windows, hat
rack).
10. Avoiding damage
Avoid any contact of this Protos® Integral and its components with pointy or sharp objects
(chainsaw chain, metal tools, etc.) and with aggressive substances such as acids, oils,
solvents, fuels and the like to avoid damaging the material. Do not apply adhesive tape,
paint, solvents, adhesives or adhesive labels to the helmet – this can affect the protective
performance!
11. Service life
Protos® Integral should be used for a maximum of 5 years from the embossed date of
manufacture.
It is imperative to replace them in due time!
12. When should the Protos® Integral no longer be used?
The Protos® Integral and its components should be checked periodically for visible defects
(cracks, discoloration, etc.).The Protos® Integral and/or itscomponents should beimmedia-
telyreplaced after exposure to stress (e.g. a fall or blow), even if the damage is not visible
externally. Any modification of the product (e.g. drilling holes in the shell) can negatively
affect the protective performance and must therefore not be carried out on this product!
