Important Safety Instructions

The WDR(Wide Dynamic Range)DAY/NIGHT camera sha be used to
express both dark and bright part distinctive y in the screen with a dua
shutter. The conventiona camera c ips the screen white when a bright
object ike a window occupies the screen whi e this camera is a technica y
integrated state-of-the-art product to revive even a brighter part distinctive y.
The DAY/NIGHT Camera operates in a co or mode in an the i umination
over the standard va ue and otherwise in B/W mode by de eting the IR Cut
function, which contributes to the improvement of sensitivity so that it is
ca ed a ow i umination camera which is ab e to identify objects in a dark
area. Meanwhi e, it has incorporated a Sense Up function owing to a ow
speed shutter and a fie d accumu ation method to improve its ow
i umination feature prominent y.
The DAY/NIGHT Camera is most y used in dark p aces ike basement
parking ots with a comparative y ow i umination. In daytime, it provides a
co or screen of high density with a horizonta reso ution of 480, and, at
night, it uti izes the DAY/NIGHT function as we as the Sense Up function
to identify objects. In same cases, you may use this camera in re ation to
the infrared ray emission equipment additiona y.

High Sensitivity
It has an up-to-date 1/3" Super-HAD P/S CCD for an image of high
sensitivity.
Function of WDR
The WDR camera is state-of-the-art to en arge the screen profit effective y,
especia y for taking photos of a window in a bui ding. In short it revives
both the indoor and outdoor status as they are c ear y.
Low Illumination Function
It has both a ow i umination function and DAY/NIGHT function based on
digita signa techno ogy in order to operate in the worst environment
without ight.
Su erior Back Light Adjustment Function
In case the object has a bright i umination or sun ight behind it, this camera
adjusts the image shaded by the back ight for c ear photographs.
Digital Power Su ly Synchronization Method
The Fu Digita Method Line Lock is rea ized in this camera, which adjusts
the vertica camera synchronization direct y to improve contro abi ity and
re iabi ity of the camera.
High Resolution
It rea izes high reso ution resu ting from fu digita image processing
supported by a state-of-art digita signa techno ogy.
Out ut Signal Setting
You may se ect the REVERSE (horizonta y, vertica y, or both) function of
the video output signa and the private, horizonta , and vertica profi e.

This groove is used for screwing the mount adapter, a part of the bracket

Auto Iris Lens Control Cable
This cable transmits the control signal from the camera to control the lens
shutter.
Back Focus Control Bar
It controls the back focus.
ALC Lens Setting Switch
This switch sets the Auto Iris lens type for use.
DC : When you attach an Auto Iris lens requiring the DC control signal,
please put this switch in the DC position.
IDEO : When you attach an Auto Iris lens requiring the video control
signal, please put this switch in the IDEO position.
① Power Display LED
When the camera is supplied with power, LED is on.
➁ideo Output Terminal
The monitor video input terminal is connected with this terminal through
which the camera video signal comes out.
➂Remote Input Terminal(RS-232)
This terminal is used for camera control at the production plant.

➃ DAY/NIGHT External Signal In ut & Alarm Signal Out ut
This is a function to receive the externa DAY/NIGHT signa from the
sensor(option) and convert the signa into BW. The MOTION DET
function generates an a arm signa when a movement is detected.
⑤ Camera O eration Switch(Setu Switch)
The function of the camera operation switch changes depending on
whether the camera is current y in the usua operation mode(No setup
menu is seen on the screen) or the setup menu mode.
[UP/DOWN] key : These keys move up or down the cursor.
[LEFT/RIGHT] key : These keys move the cursor to the eft or right or
identify the va ues sequentia y which can be
assigned in each setup menu.
[ENTER] key : It is used to enter the Setup menu.(Press it about 2
seconds.)
It is used to enter a sub-menu of a setup menu by
c icking the setup menu or to set the current va ue.

This port is connected to the power(adapter) cab e.

Connect an externa sensor to the DAY/NIGHT termina as shown in ①then
connect any externa device such as a buzzer or amp to the ALARM
termina as shown in ➁.
The ALARM output termina is an open co ector with the fo owing capacity:
DC 16V and 100mA.
OFF : Open contact
ON : Be ow 100mA
The DAY/NIGHT input termina has the input of DC 5V pu -up and over
0.2mA.
OFF : Open contact

Chapter 4 Installation

This chapter describes what shou d be checked before insta ation, how to
set the insta ation environment, and what shou d be done during
insta ation. Then, it describes how to insta the camera and connect the
cab e in actua circumstances. ① Do not disassemb e the camera on your own.
➁Be carefu when hand ing the camera at a times. Do not strike the
camera with your fists or shake it. The camera shou d be stored and
treated with care to avoid any damage.
➂Do not put or operate the camera in rain or wet p aces.
➃ Do not scrub the camera body with rough sandpaper when it is stained.
P ease use a dry c oth at a times.
⑤ Put the camera in a coo area free from direct ight. Otherwise, the
camera may be damaged.
Be sure to check if the fo owing items are inc uded in the package.

Connecting Auto Iris Lens Connector
Prepare the Auto Iris ens connector, a camera auxi iary, as fo ows :
Connect each uncovered shutter contro cab e wire to the Auto Iris ens
connector as fo ows.

In case of CS lenses
Turn the CS ens c ockwise unti it is fixed as shown as fo ows.
In case of C lenses
Turn the C-mount adapter c ockwise to fix it. Then turn the C ens
c ockwise unti it is fixed as fo ows.

Setting Switch Control
Back Focus Adjustment
You shou d change the position of the ens setting switch on the side of the
camera according to the ens type. Depending on whether you fixed the DC
contro type Auto Iris ens or video contro type automatic shutter ens, you
shou d put the switch in "DC" or "VIDEO" position respective y.
The camera back focus is adjusted at the p ant before de ivery, but some
enses are out of focus though the number differs in types. If it's the case,
you shou d make the back focus adjustment as fo ows. First, this is the
back focus adjustment procedure for fixed focus enses.
Lenses with zoom function
① Image an object with high reso ution(etticed) at a distance of 3 to 5 m
and zoom in the ens as c ose to TELE as possib e. Then adjust the ens
focus bar unti the object is seen best.
➁Zoom in the ens as c ose to WIDE as possib e and adjust the BACK
FOCUS adjustment bar unti the object is seen best.
➂Repeat from ①to ➁above 2 or 3 times unti the focus on the ZOOM
TELE side is in ine with that on the ZOOM WIDE side.
Lenses without zoom function
① Image an object with high reso ution( etticed) at more than 10m distance
and put the ens focus ring in the infinite(∞) position.
➁Rotate the BACK FOCUS contro bar unti the object is seen best.
➂Tighten the BACK FOCUS contro bar fixing screw.

Connecting Cables and Checking O eration
1 First, connect the connector of the BNC cab e to the Video Out termina
2 Second, connect the other connector of the BNC cab e to the Video In
termina .
3 Then, connect the power adapter. Connect a part of the power adapter
composed of 2 ines to the Camera Power In termina with a f at-head
