9 Replaceorrepairdamagedparts.Userecommendedpartsonly.Unauthorisedpartsmaybedangerousandwillinvalidatethe
warranty.

9 Keeptheworkareaclean,unclutteredandensurethereisadequatelighting.
9 Removeillttingclothing.Removeties,watches,rings,andotherloosejewellery,andcontainand/ortiebacklonghair.
9 Maintaincorrectbalanceandfooting.Ensuretheoorisnotslipperyandwearnon-slipshoes,

9 Protectworksurfacefromgluespiltduringwarmupphaseandwhilstbeingused.
9 Afteruseplacethegluegundowntocoolinasafemanner.Ensureithascooleddowncompletelybeforestorage.
9 Whennotinuseswitchthegluegunoff,removeplugfromthepowersupply,storethetoolinasafe,drychildproofarea.

rechargethebatteryatleastonceeverysixmonthsofnon-use.
8DO NOTattempttoopen,disassemble,modifyorservicethebatterypack.
8DO NOTcrush,puncture,shortexternalcontactsordisposeofinreorwater.
8DO NOTexposetotemperaturesabove60°C(140°F).
9 Replaceonlywiththebatterypackdesignatedforthisproduct.
9 Recycleordisposeofusedbatteryasstipulatedbylocalregulation.
9 Iftheelectrolyteinthecellsgetsonyourskin,thoroughlywashwithsoapandwater.Ifitgetsinyoureyes,rinsethoroughlywithcool
waterandseekimmediatemedicalattention.

5. OPERATION
WARNING!Riskofburns,gluereachesapproximately170°C.Ifhotgluecomesintocontactwithskin,holdunderastreamofcold
waterforseveralminutes.
5.1. Saveenergy,onlyswitchonwhenbeingused.
5.2. SWITCH ON
PressbuttonOn/Offtoturnon,untiltheHeatingLEDindicatorlightsgreen.DO NOTleaveunattendedwhilstgluegunisheatingup.
Placeonaheatproofsurface.
5.3. HEATING LED INDICATORS(LH)
Greenashing(forapproximately20seconds):glueisbeingheated
Greensolid:gluegunreadytouse
5.4. SWITCH OFF
PressbuttonOn/OffuntilHeatingLEDindicatorturnsoff.
5.5. AUTOMATIC SWITCH OFF
Gluegunswitchesoffautomaticallyafter2minutestosaveenergy.
5.6. SwitchthegluegunonagainandchecktheHeatingLEDindicator.IftheBatteryLEDindicatorbrieylightsupRED,thebattery
mustberecharged.
5.7. Afteruseplacegluegundowninasafemannerandallowittocooldowncompletelybeforestorage.
5.8. PREPARATION FOR GLUING
5.8.1. Surfacesmustbefreefromgrease,cleananddry.
5.8.2. Materialstobegluedaswellasthesurfaceonwhichtheworkistakingplacemustnotbeeasilyignitableorammable.
5.8.3. Checkthesuitabilityofmaterialstobegluedonatestworkpiece.
5.8.4. Ambienttemperatureofaworkpiecemustbebetween+5°Cand+50°C.
5.8.5. Materialssuchasmetals,whichcooloffthegluequickly,shouldbepreheatedwithahotairgun.
5.9. GLUING
5.9.1. Inserttheappropriategluestickintotheopeningintherearofthegluegun.
5.9.2. Switchonandallowtoheatup(see5.2above).Gluegunisreadyafterapproximately20seconds.
5.9.3. Pressthefeedtrigger,applyingmoderatepressure.
5.9.4. Applyglueontoonesideonly,pressthegluedsurfacestogether.Itisstillpossibletoadjustthelocationofthetwopiecesatthispoint.
5.9.5. Thegluedjointcanbesubjectedtoloadafteracooldownperiodofapproximatelytwominutes.
5.9.6. Removeglueresidueaftercoolingwithabluntobject.Ifnecessarygluedjointscanbeseparatedagainbyapplyingheat.
8DO NOTuseinammablesolventsforcleaningthesurfacestobeglued.Solventresiduescanignitefromhotglueorhazardous
vapourscoulddevelop.
8DO NOTremoveapartiallyusedgluestickfromtheendofthegluegun.
6. MAINTENANCE
WARNING!Removechargecablebeforeperformingmaintenance.
