My-Trak WPT250 – Quick Start Guide
How do I use my My-Trak WPT250?
1. Visit www.my-trak.eu and register your unit. Once you have registered your
device you will receive an email confirming your login details.
Please note. It is important that you provide a correct email address during
registration or you will not receive your login details.
2. Next log in at www.my-trak.eu using the ‘Existing user login’ button
3. Press the ‘Instructions’ button on each page of the website to see step by step
guidance on how to set up and install your My-Trak device and to learn more
about the features and functionality available.

Getting to know your My-Trak WPT250
1. USB charger socket
Charge your WPT250 using the AC charger provided.
It will take approximately 3 hours to fully charge.
2. Battery light indicator
Red when battery low and requires charging.
Orange when charging. Green when fully charged.
3. GPS indicator
Red flashing LED – No GPS connection
Green flashing LED – GPS connection successful
4. GSM indicator
Green flashing LED – GPRS connection successful.
Red flashing LED – No GPRS connection
5. Power button
Press and hold for 5 seconds to power on. 3 Green LEDs will flash for a few seconds
as WPT250 boots up. Press and hold for 5 seconds to power off.
Please note it may take a few minutes for WPT250 to connect to GPS and GPRS
after you have powered it on.

Obtaining the WPT250 location using a mobile phone
1. Ensure that you have registered your WPT250 at www.my-trak.eu
2. Login to your My-Trak account and add the telephone number of your mobile
phone in ‘Alert Contact Details’ (You can add up to 5 mobile phone numbers)
3. Set up an SOS alert in the ‘Alerts’ setting, allocating your mobile phone number
to receive the alert.
4. Power on your WPT250 and wait until the device has obtained both GPS and
GSM connections.
5. Retrieve the telephone number of your device by pressing and holding the SOS
button on the front of the device.Your WPT250 will automatically send an SMS
message to your mobile phone including its position and mobile phone number.
Make a note of this telephone number or save it in your phone as a contact.
6. To obtain the location of your WPT250 at any time, send the letters GPS as an SMS
message to the telephone number of the device. The device will automatically
send an SMS message to any mobile telephone numbers set up to receive them.
7. The SMS message includes the co-ordinates of the device as well as a URL. To
see the position of the device enter the co-ordinates into Google Maps, Google
Earth or similar. If you have a mobile phone with an internet connection, click on
the URL shown in the SMS and the position of your device will be displayed via
the My-Trak micro map site on the phone itself.

My-Trak WPT250 – Kurzanleitung
Wie verwende ich meinen My-Trak WPT250?
1. Gehen Sie auf www.my-trak.de und registrieren Ihr Gerät. Sie erhalten dann per
Email Ihre Login-Details.
Bitte beachten Sie: geben Sie eine richtig geschriebene und aktive Emailadresse
bei der Registrierung an, sonst können Sie keine Zugangsdaten erhalten.
2. Nach Erhalt der Daten loggen Sie sich bitte unter „Registrierung für
bestehende Benutzer“ ein.
3. Drücken Sie jeweils auf „Anleitung“ , um detaillierte Anweisungen und
Informationen zum Einstellen Ihres My-Trak-Gerätes und Alles über die
Verwendungsmöglichkeiten zu erhalten.

Lernen Sie Ihr WPT250 kennen:
1. USB-Ladebuchse
Laden Sie Ihr WPT250 über den mitgelieferten
Netzadapter auf. Ein vollständiger Ladevorgang
dauert bis zu 3 Stunden.
2. Batterieanzeige
Leuchtet rot, wenn die Batterie schwach ist und
geladen werden muss.
Leuchtet orange während des Ladevorgangs. Leuchtet grün, sobald vollständig
aufgeladen.
3. GPS-Anzeige
Rote LED blinkt – keine GPS-Verbindung
Grüne LED blinkt – bestehende GPS-Verbindung
4. GSM-Anzeige
Grüne LED blinkt – bestehende GPRS-Verbindung
Rote LED blinkt – keine GPRS-Verbindung
5. Ein-/Aus-Taste
Drücken und halten Sie diese für 5 Sekunden zum Einschalten. 3 grüne LEDs
werden als Zeichen des Hochfahrens des Gerätes einige Sekunde blinken.
Drücken und halten Sie die Taste auch für 5 Sekunden zum Ausschalten.
Bitte beachten Sie, dass es einige Zeit benötigt, bis Ihr WPT250 eine GPS- u.
GPRS-Verbindung aufbauen konnte.

Positionsbestimmung durch das WPT250 über ein Mobiltelefon:
1. Stellen Sie sicher, dass Ihr WPT250 auf www.my-trak.eu registriert wurde.
2. Loggen Sie sich in Ihren My-Trak-Account ein und hinterlegen Sie unter
„Gerätedetails verwalten“ in „Kontaktdaten für Meldungen“ bis zu 5
verschiedene Mobilfunknummern.
3. Stellen Sie eine Alarmmeldung in „Meldungen“ ein, um über eine hinterlegte
Mobilfunknummer eine Alarmmeldung empfangen zu können.
4. Schalten Sie Ihr WPT250 ein und warten bis dieses sowohl GPS- als auch GPRS-
Verbindung hat.
5. Rufen Sie jetzt für einen Alarm Ihr Mobiltelefon durch Drücken und Halten der
SOS-Taste auf der Vorderseite des Gerätes an. Ihr WPT250 wird dann automatisch
eine SMS inkl. der geografischen Position und dessen Mobilfunknummer
senden. Notieren Sie sich bitte diese Nummer oder speichern Sie diese als
neuen Kontakt (z.B. „WPT250“) in Ihrem Mobiltelefon ab.
6. Um die Position Ihres WPT250 jederzeit abrufen zu können, senden Sie an die
nun abgespeicherte Nummer Ihres WPT250 per SMS die Buchstaben ‚GPS’ . Ihr
Gerät wird dann automatisch an alle hinterlegten Mobilfunknummern eine
Positions-SMS zurücksenden.
7. Diese SMS wird sowohl die Geokoordinaten als auch eine URL (Link) enthalten.
Um die Position auf einer Karte anzusehen, geben Sie die Koordinaten z.B. bei
GoogleMaps, GoogleEarth oder ähnlichen ein. Wenn Sie ein internetfähiges
Mobiltelefon mit aktiver Internetverbindung verwenden, klicken Sie auf die
URL (den Link) in der SMS und Ihnen wird die Position automatisch per My-Trak-
Mikrokarte dargestellt.
