WHAT IS A PROGRAMMABLE THERMOSTAT?
An explanation for householders:
A programmable room thermostat is both a programmer and a room
thermostat. A programmer allows you to set ‘on’ and ‘o’ time periods to suit
your own lifestyle. A room thermostat works by sensing the air temperature,
switching on the heating when the air temperature falls below the
thermostat setting, and switching it o once this set temperature has been
reached.
So a programmable room thermostat lets you choose what times you want
the heating to be on, and what temperature it should reach while it is on.
It will allow you to select dierent temperatures in your home at dierent
times of the day and days of the week. This means you can save money and
energy by not heating your home unnecessarily.
Your thermostat also benets from RF technology which means there are
no wires connecting your thermostat to the boiler, this means you can
either leave your thermostat on the wall or move it around on the provided
desk stand.

HOW TO USE THE THERMOSTAT
Your Strom Programmable Thermostat allows timed control of your central
heating system, allowing you to set time events and temperatures for
maximum comfort without wasting energy. The SSRTPR06 checks the time
and temperature against its programming and activates your heat source
when heat is required. The Strom Programmable Thermostat allows you to
select between:
• 24 Hour Programming - Repeats the same schedule every day.
• 5/2 Day Programming - For seperate weekday & weekend control.
• 7 Day Programming - Allows a dierent schedule every day.
The control allows you to choose between 4 and 6 timed events per day.
Events and temperatures should be designed to coincide with when you
are in the property and awake.
When extra heat is required you can simply override the temperature for
that given time event by turning up the thermostat.
Where you require a more permanent override you can set the control to
manual where it will disable timed events and only call for heat using the
temperature instead. This remains enabled until it is manually disabled.
IMPORTANT: We recommend that your installer sets the initial conguration
of the controller for you, after this you should only have to make small
adjustments for maximum performance. Ensure you discuss with your
installer what conguration suits your lifestyle.
