C h e c k your OS

M a k e sure youhave the latest Operating System (OS) version for

your calculator by following these instructions:

1. Turn on your calculator

2 . Press - L

3 . Press bon1: A b o u t

4 . C h e ck for latest OS version number

To find the latest OS for theTI-73 Explorer, go to: e d u c a t i o n . t i . c o m / l a t e s t

If you have the latest OS, then skip to the Download Apps section.

1. Visit e d u c a t i o n . t i . c o m / l a t e s t

2 . C l i ck on the link to the latest OS for theTI-73 Explorer

3 . Select download from theTI-73 Explorer Operating System page

4 . Enter your e-mail address and password, then click “s u b m i t”

5 . Accept the agreement

6 . Download and save theOS to your computer desktop

3 . Enter your e-mail address and password, then click “ s u b m i t ”

This free soft w are allows you to transfer Apps to yourTI calculator,

capture screen images for presentations, manage your programs,

download OS upgrades, and more. To download, follow these steps:

1. From “My Pick-Up W i n d o w ,” select Fr e e w a r e

2 . From Fr e e w a r e , c l i ck Free Computer So ft w a r e

3 . SelectTI Connect for either Macintosh or Windows

4 . Download and save this soft w are to your computer desktop

To download A p p s from the Pick-Up Window to your computer:

1. From “My Pick-Up W i n d o w ,” select register your handheld

2 . Follow the directions on the page to register

(if you have multiple calculators, register the one that you use most)

3 . A fter you type in your calculator ID, press submit

4 . Select “My Collection”

5 . Se a r c hfor or select (an) App(s)

6 . Download and save the App to your computer desktop

Installing Apps or Operating Systems on your calculator

1. Connect your calculator to a computer using aT I - G R A P H L I N K ™cable

2 . Browse for the location of the App file(s) or OS upgrade you saved

N o te : If you need to update the operating system on your calculator,

transfer it from your computer to your calculator before you send A p p s .

nDrag and drop the App file(s) onto theTI Connect icon

For TI Connect for Macinto s h ®U s e r s

nL a u n chTI Connect for Macintosh

nOn the menu bar, select "Connection" and then select calculator mode

nSelect theport to which theTI Connectivity cable is connected and

c l i ck "Connect" (a device window will open)

nDrag and drop the App file(s) into the open device window

For TI Connect for Mac OS X Users

nL a u n chTI Device Explorer™ [a device window will open, listing the

connected calculator(s)]

nDrag and drop the App file(s) on the name of the calculator upon

w h i ch you would like the App file(s) installed

3 . You will notice the file(s) being transferred

4 . Press the 9 b u tton on your calculator – and give it a whirl!

N o te : TheTI-73 Explorer calculator has "App spaces" that are chunks

of memory into which you can load Apps. Some Apps take up only

one space, andother Apps take up to four. TheTI-73 Explorer has

eight App spaces.

Deleting A p p s

1. Press - ü

2 . Press Qfor 4: Delete

3 . Using the #scroll to Apps and press b

4 . The list of Apps that youcurrently have on yourTI-73 Explorer

will be displayed

5 . Select the Apps that you want to delete andpress b

6 . Press Zfor 2:Yes to delete the App and free up space for new A p p s
