1. Pull the probe away from the body of

The thermometer comes with a

Calibration feature. In most cases, the

thermometer was calibrated precisely

at our manufacturing facility, and

generally you do NOT need to calibrate

the thermometer. However, after a long

period of use and you believe that the

temperature reading displayed by the

thermometer is not accurate, you may

follow the process below to re-calibrate

the thermometer:

1. Use distilled or purified water to

make ice cubes in your refrigerator;

2. Get a thermal insulated bottle. If you

don’t have one, use a beaker or a

regular cup;

3. Fill the bottle with ice cubes (no less

than 70% of the volume), then top off

with cold distilled or purified water

(no greater than 30% of the volume);

4 Wait until temperature reading

stabilizes on the display.

6 Undo-Calibration

If you want to undo the calibration and

the “CAL” button 5 seconds to enter

Calibration mode;

2. Press the lock button to undo the

calibration and it will reset to the

default setting.

7 Helpful Hints

When measuring different foods or

meat, it may be desirable to cool the

probe first by rinsing the tip with

cold water.

It is recommended that you wipe the

probe tip clean between readings.

This is especially important when

taking temperature readings from

different foods or meat.

3 Avant La Première Utilisation

1 Insérez une pile AAA en suivant la

polarité (+) et (-) indiquée.

2 Nettoyez l’extrémité avec une éponge

ou un chiffon chaud et savonneux,

puis rincez et séchez.

3 Vous pouvez nettoyer l’appareil sous

l’eau courante sans crainte !

thermomètre et repliez-la pour

3. Insérez la pointe de la sonde dans

les aliments en cours de cuisson. Le

thermomètre commencera à mesurer

la température interne de la nourriture.

4. Attendez que la mesure de

température se stabilise sur l’écran.

5 Calibrage

Le thermomètre est équipé d’une

fonction de calibrage. Dans la plupart

des cas, le thermomètre a été calibré

de manière précise dans notre usine et

vous ne devez généralement PAS le

calibrer. Cependant, après une longue

période d’utilisation, il est possible

que vous pensiez que les lectures du

thermomètre ne soient plus précises.

Dans ce cas, suivez la procédure ci-

dessous pour le recalibrer :

1. Utilisez de l’eau distillée ou purifiée

pour faire des glaçons dans votre

congélateur ;

2. Prenez une bouteille thermique

isolée. Si vous n’en avez pas, utilisez

un gobelet ou une tasse ordinaire ;

3. Remplissez la bouteille de glaçons

(pas moins de 70 % du volume), puis

remplissez le reste avec de l’eau

distillée ou purifiée froide (pas plus

de 30 % du volume) ;

4. Mélangez le tout et attendez environ

10 minutes pour que l’eau et la glace

atteignent son équilibre thermique ;

5. Allumez le thermomètre, dévissez le

couvercle des piles et retirez-le ;

6. Immergez la sonde dans le mélange

eau/glace et assurez-vous de ne pas

toucher les côtés du conteneur.

Attendez que la lecture de la

température descende au plus bas,

ce qui devrait être aux alentours de

0°C. Si la température du mélange

eau/glace n’est pas entre -2°C et

+2°C (28°F et 36°F), il est impossible

7 Nettoyez le thermomètre sous l’eau

mesure de terminer le calibrage dans

ce délai, le thermomètre quittera

automatiquement le mode.

Si vous souhaitez annuler le calibrage

pour revenir aux paramètres par défaut,

veuillez suivre les étapes ci-dessous :

1. Allumez le thermomètre et appuyez

sur le bouton CAL pendant 5 secondes

pour entrer en mode de calibrage ;

2. Appuyez sur le bouton LOCK pour

annuler le calibrage et il retournera

aux paramètres par défaut.

un os ou une zone graisse, ou si

l’extrémité n’est pas insérée assez

profondément, effectuez une

deuxième mesure pour en assurer

la précision.
