Preface
Congra ula ions for he purchasing of he world mos compac PTZ (Pan, Til and
Zoom) camera. The camera is designed and manufac ured no jus o mee he
requiremen s for radi ional CCTV and modern digi al surveillance, bu also increase
he sys ems’ overall performance.
The PTZ camera is equipped wi h high resolu ion CCD sensor and powerful 30x
zoom lens ha can used for wide angle observa ion and de ail viewing o he far-end
objec as well.
The PT mechanism provides con rollable pan (360o) and il (180o) func ions, giving
users he capabili y o manipula e he camera for precise loca ing on arge s for
moni oring. The buil -in micro-con roller allows users o program up o 64 prese s for
quick and accura e cap ure o specific view posi ions. Moving speed, ranging from
0.5 o 240 degrees per second and is selec able o con roller, is variable in 16
op ional levels. Dwell ime of each view posi ion is also selec able from 1second up
o 255 seconds.
Sys em func ion includes I/O for alarm func ion for in rusion managemen , ID se up
(maximum o 255)
and impedance ma ching op ion for mul iple node sys em, 2 con rol
pro ocols, 3 op ions of baud ra es, RS485 communica ion forma . This device is
driven by DC12V power. I can be con rolled by keyboard, PC, video server or
s andalone DVR.
Majori y of image rela ed func ions (such as DSP func ions, lens func ions, special
effec s of video…) are managed via OSD (On-Screen-Display) menu. These
func ions are explained in he sec ion of OSD wi h de ails. The CCD can be se up
for au oma ic swi ching o black-whi e mode for nigh -vision ready when illumina ion
is low.
This camera is designed o be wa er-resis an for ou door use, under he condi ion of
normal empera ure range from -10 o o 50o C.

To access DIP switches
Before he camera is moun ed in place, be sure he following four se ings are
properly execu ed, or he camera may fail he con rol:
Camera ID setup
Protocol selection
Baud rate selection
Terminator
(RS485 impedance)

Tools:
1. Philips (or “plus ype”) screw driver #2, for opening and pu ing back he cover
2. Pincer, paper clip or small fla screw driver, o move he lever of DIP swi ch

Important otice
All he DIP swi ches for se ing up camera ID, pro ocol, baud ra e and RS485
ermina or impedance are in he dome a he bo om side, and accessible via a
opening. In normal condi ion, his opening is sealed wi h a piece of s eel cover.
The me al cover, oge her wi h a rubber around he opening, is for s opping
wa er and dus going he camera. Therefore, ins aller mus be very careful
during he opening or pu ing back he s eel cover.

To build correc ne work for con rol communica ion, every speed dome camera in
he ne work mus have an unique ID number, which is se by he bi 1 o 8 of a 8-bi
DIP swi ch DS2.

Factory default of device ID is 1
Find 8-bi DIP swi ch DS2 on he PC board
Refer o he ables in he nex wo pages for ID se ing

The highes ID number of his camera is 255.
All he speed domes in a ne work mus have heir unique ID. I is highly
recommended o ins allers, for fu ure main enance efficiency and users’
convenience, o mark he ID of each camera on o i s corresponding loca ion on
he si e map, and make ou a lis of cameras wi h heir ID numbers.
