Safety instructions explained
!Please note
This symbol warns against the
risk of material losses and envi-
ronmental pollution.
Note
Details identified by the word "Note" con-
tain additional information.
Target group
These instructions are exclusively inten-
ded for qualified contractors.
■ Work on electrical equipment must
only be carried out by a qualified elec-
trician.
Regulations
Observe the following when working on
this system
■ National installation requirements
■ Statutory instructions regarding the
prevention of accidents
■ Statutory instructions regarding envi-
ronmental protection
■ The Code of Practice of relevant trade
associations
■ All current safety regulations as
defined by DIN, EN, DVGW, VDE and

SVGW
Working on the system
■ Isolate the system from the power sup-
ply and check that it is no longer 'live',
e.g. by removing the separate fuse or
by means of a main isolator.
■ Safeguard the system against unau-

Without immersion heater
Accessories, comprising the follow-
ing components:
■ Flange cover with magnesium anode
■ Thermal insulation
■ Cover
■ Flange gasket
In conjunction with the immersion heater (on site)
Accessories, comprising the follow-
ing components:
■ Flange cover with female connection
and magnesium anode
■ Thermal insulation
■ Cover with opening for feeding in the
power cable
■ Flange gasket
Safety valve (T&P valve) (required accessory)
Always install to protect the DHW cylin-
der against excessive temperatures.
■ Permissible operating pressure 6 bar.
Max. operating temperature 95 °C.
■ It must not be able to be isolated from
the DHW cylinder.
■ Never seal off the discharge pipe.
Expelled water should be safely and
visibly drained into a sewer. Place a
sign on the safety valve with the
inscription:
For safety reasons, hot water
(95 °C) may be discharged from the
discharge pipe during heating.
Arrange the hot water drain so that any
discharged hot water or steam cannot
represent a risk to individuals or dam-
age the system and materials in or on
the building.
■
!Please note
DHW with temperatures in
excess of 60 °C can result in
scalding.
To limit the temperature to
60 °C, install a mixing device,
e.g. a thermostatically control-
led mixing valve (accessory).

Wind speed v(ref)
Wind speed calculated on a time basis
over a period of 10 min (probability that
it will be exceeded in a year 0.02).
Applies to a height of 10 m above the
ground on a level, open site, which cor-
responds to site category II according to
DIN 1055, part B.
■ Wind load zone I and II:
≤ 90 km/h
■ Wind load zone III and IV:
≤ 108 km/h
Notes
■ At locations with a height of
800 to 1100 m above sea level,
increase the ballast by 10 % for every
100 metres.
■ Special considerations are required
when siting on ridges or peaks, or for
structural locations more than
1100 m above sea level.
