It is not necessary to rinse normal foo soils off the ishes
before putting them in the ishwasher, although larger soli
particles, such as bones, see s, skins, pits, an toothpicks
shoul be remove .
If you are not going to run the ishwasher imme iately after
loa ing, it is best to rinse salty an highly aci ic foo s off
stainless steel, silver, an silverplate flatware. Prolonge
contact of foo s—inclu ing lemon juice, salt, vinegar, mustar ,
mayonnaise, an sala ressings—with stainless steel can
cause corrosion (pitting).
Before Operation
1. Loa the ishes per recommen e loa ing. See section
on Loa ing Dishwasher.
2. Make sure there is rinse agent in the ispenser. A rinse
agent if nee e . See section on Rinse Agent.
3. A proper amount of etergent an pre-wash. See
section on Dishwasher Detergent.
4. Push both top an bottom racks in.
5. Select the esire cycle an option(s). Cycle an Option
keys will illuminate to in icate selection.
6. Press “START”. The “START” symbol will illuminate to
in icate the unit is rea y.
7. Close the oor tightly until you hear a click. Otherwise, the
ishwasher will not start.
Option Restrictions
All options are not available for all cycles. Please note the
following:
• The option “HI TEMP WASH” is not available in the
“LIGHT/CHINA” or “ECONO WASH” cycles.
• No options are available in the “RINSE/HOLD” cycle.
• The option “TOP WASH” is available only with the
“NORMAL WASH” cycle.
After selecting the wash cycle an options, epress “START”
button. The start light will turn on. This merely means the
machine is rea y. Close the oor securely within 4 secon s of
pressing the “START” button.
Changing a Program
Changing a Program After the Unit has Started
The ishwasher is programme to stop operating if the oor is
opene uring a cycle. To change a program or option after
starting the machine, open the oor slightly to let the spray
arms stop rotating an avoi getting spraye with water. Press
an hol “START” for four secon s to cancel the current
selection, then press the touchpa (s) for your esire selection.
Press “START” again an close the oor. The rain pump will
run to remove any irty water from the ishwasher before
starting the newly selecte cycle. Check to make sure there is
still etergent in the etergent ispenser.
Opening the Door after Cycle has Started
If the oor is opene after the cycle has starte , the ”START”
button will flash to in icate that the ishwasher is in Stan by
Mo e. Press the “START” button an close the oor securely
within 4 secon s to restart the cycle.
