About the Mobile phone transceiver
Intended purpose
This device is part of the Visit alerting system. The intended
purpose of the system is to alert deaf and hard of hearing
people of important signals in their home. The transceiver
detects incoming calls and messages and sends a signal to
the Visit receiver that alerts the user with sound, ashes or
vibrations. In addition, the transceiver forwards Visit noti-
cations to the mobile phone. The transceiver is to be used
together with the Visit smart device application.
Intended user
The intended user is a person with mild to severe hearing
loss or deafness.
Intended user group
The intended user group consists of people of all ages with
mild to severe hearing loss or deafness that need audio,
visual or sensory amplication.
Principle of operation
The Visit alerting system consists of a set of wirelessly con-
nected transmitters and receivers that are located across the
home. When the transceiver detects an activity, it signals the
Visit receiver and mobile phone. In order to use the system,
you need at least one transceiver, one receiver and a mobile
phone.
The Visit alerting system will not restore normal
hearing and will not prevent or improve a hearing
impairment or deafness resulting from organic
conditions.
