The security system communicates with the exacqVision recorder via the interface module the
communicator module. This communication link between the exacqVision recorder and the control
panel can be established via Ethernet (IP/UDP) or Serial (RS232/RS244). This connection needs to be
configured via the keypad (IP address or serial port number) before it is connected to ExacqVision.
Configuration –Bentel Absoluta Control Panel
With the exacqVision system connected to the control panel (Absoluta) via Ethernet (IP/UDP), use the
keypad to configure the security system to communicate with the exacqVision recorder. Here are some
general guidelines to follow when navigating the keypad menus.
•A user pin number of 1111 (default value) is used throughout these instructions. Substitute
your own user code if programmed.
•Reference: Absoluta Installation Manual.
Enable the Absoluta Control Panel
•When the unit is powered on, there is a delay of approximately 30 seconds before the keypad is
ready for user input.
•Enter installer passcode (1111 by default) and press enter
View IP address
1. Press home button
2. Input user login pin number (default 1111)
3. Press arrow icon for drop down menu on the top right of the screen (M-Touch keypad only)
4. Locate the “GSM/IP” icon. This will display the device IP address.
•Note this IP address for use in ExacqVision connection.
--To configure the IP address, please refer to Bentel user manual materials.--
To change hostname / name of device displayed in ExacqVision
