INSTRUCCIONES DE SEGURIDAD

1. Todas las instrucciones de seguridad y operación deberán ser leídas antes de

que el aparato eléctrico sea operado.

2. Las instrucciones de seguridad y operación deberán ser guardadas para

referencia futura.

3. Todas las advertencias en el aparato eléctrico y en sus instrucciones de

operación deben ser respetadas.

4. Todas las instrucciones de operación y uso deben ser seguidas.

5. El aparato eléctrico no deberá ser usado cerca del agua—por ejemplo, cerca

de la tina de baño, lavabo, sótano mojado o cerca de una alberca, etc..

6. El aparato eléctrico debe ser usado únicamente con carritos o pedestales que

sean recomendados por el fabricante.

Quick-Start Guide

NOTE

This quick-start guide covers on y the most common situations. P ease

refer to the rest of this users’ manua if your network uses any of the

fo owing: (1) an existing router, (2) an existing DHCP server, or (3) PCs

using fixed (static) IP addresses.

Before You Begin

Your package should include the following:

• The Broadband Router,

• An AC power adapter,

• A Documentation/Printer Port Driver CD, and

• This users’ manual.

If anything is missing or damaged, return the package to its place of purchase.

YSTEM

EQUIREMENTS

• A broadband modem

• PC(s) with the TCP/IP protocol installed

• Category 5 Ethernet cables with RJ-45 connectors

Step 1: Hardware Installation

1. Make sure that the Broadband Router is powered OFF before starting the

installation. Leave your DSL/cable modem connected to its wall socket

(phone line or cable outlet); however, make sure you disconnect the

DSL/cable modem from your PC.

2. Use Category 5 Ethernet cables to connect the following:

• Up to four PCs to the four LAN ports on the Broadband Router.

and/or

• A hub/switch to one of the LAN ports on the router.
