11. Always unplug the Circular Saw from its electrical outlet before
performing and inspection, maintenance, or cleaning procedures.
12. WARNING! Some dust created by power sanding, sawing, grinding, drilling,
and other construction activities, contain chemicals known (to the State of Cali-
fornia) to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. Some ex-
amples of these chemicals are: lead from lead-based paints, crystalline silica
from bricks and cement or other masonry products, arsenic and chromium from
chemically treated lumber. Your risk from these exposures varies, depending on
how often you do this type of work. To reduce your exposure to these chemicals:
work in a well ventilated area, and work with approved safety equipment, such as
those dust masks that are specially designed to filter out microscopic particles.

13. WARNING! People with pacemakers should consult their physician(s)
before using this product. Operation of electrical equipment in close proximity to
a heart pacemaker could cause interference or failure of the pacemaker.

14. REDUCE THE RISK OF ACCIDENTAL STARTING. Make sure the Power
Switch (part #45) is in the “OFF” position before plugging the Power Cord
(part #53) into a grounded, 115 Volt, electrical outlet.
15. ALWAYS USE THE PROPER SIZE AND TYPE OF SAW BLADE (part #68):
7-1/4” DIAMETER - 6,000 MAXIMUM RATED RPM OR GREATER.
16. KEEP HANDS AND FINGERS CLEAR OF THE TURNING SAW BLADE
(part #68) AT ALL TIMES.
17. FEED THE CIRCULAR SAW GRADUALLY ONTO THE WORKPIECE. Do not
force the Circular Saw to remove material faster than it was designed to cut.
18. WHEN CUTTING A LARGE WORKPIECE, MAKE SURE IT IS PROPERLY
SUPPORTED.
19. SECURE THE WORKPIECE. Whenever possible, secure the workpiece with a
vise or clamps (not included).
20. AVOID KICKBACK. When the Saw Blade (part #68) is pinched or tightly
bound when cutting the Saw Blade will stall, driving the Circular Saw
rapidly back toward the operator. Always make a cut straight and gradual to
avoid the Saw Blade being twisted or misaligned in the cut.
21. DANGER! Keep hands away from cutting area and blade. Keep your
second hand on auxiliary handle, or motor housing. If both hands are holding
the saw, they cannot be cut by the blade.
Keep your body positioned to either side of the saw blade, but not in line
with the saw blade. KICKBACK could cause the saw to jump backwards. (See
“Causes and Operator Prevention of Kickback.”)
Do not reach underneath the work. The guard can not protect you from the
blade below the work.
