Please read theentire instruction manual before use and save it for future reference. Wereserve

theright for any errors in text or images and for making any necessary technical changes to this

1. Safety

• Do not expose thedata logger to vapours from chemical products; they can cause

inaccurate readings.

• Thedata logger has alithium battery. Itmay not be charged, short-circuited, smashed,

dismantled, heated to over 100 ºC or sent to garbage incineration.

• Thechemicals inside thebattery must not come in contact withwater.

• Soldering directly onto the battery terminals is not permitted.

2. Description of product

• Temperature and moisture data logger with a USB connector..

• This battery operated data logger will help you monitor theenvironment in your cellar,

store room,etc.

• Place thedata logger at themeasuringsite. Aftermeasuring, connect it to a USB port on

your computer to view thestoreddata.

• Stores up to 16 000 readings.

• Adjustable measuring interval: From2 seconds to 24hours.

• Measuring range –40 °C to 70 °C and 0 to 100 % RH.

• Delivered with battery, wall clip and English software for Windows 10,

Windows 7 (32-64-bit)/Vista (32-64-bit)/XP (SP2).

3. Battery

Thebattery should be changed after 12 months or before anespecially important measurement

of temperature and relative humidity. Measurement data are stored on thedata logger even if

thebattery is depleted. Change thebattery and connect it to aUSB-port. Thesoftware Datalogger

Graph for computers is needed to transfer stored data and later to restart measurement. Donot

leave thedata logger in theUSB-port longer than you need since it then uses more electricity.

Insert thebattery as follows

1. Use ascrewdriver to pry

thecoverloose.

2. Take out themeasuringunit.

3. Insert battery as

themarkings indicate.

4. Press themeasuring unit

into thecover. Make sure

that the cover closes tightly.

4. Installation

Install the software first

Install the software program from the included CD or download the installation ﬁles from

www.clasohlson.se.

Downloading: Search for the product (36-4208-1), select Produktdetaljer and then click on

Programvara inkl. drivrutin to download the drivers. When the ﬁle has been download, it

should be opened using a suitable program.

Using Win10 for example: In Explorer, right-click on the ﬁle, select Extract all and then click

on Extract.

1. Open the disc/folder with the installation ﬁles in Explorer.

2. Click on Setup.exe.

3. Click on Next (Fig.1, page 28).

4. Click on Next and then on Install.

5. Click on Finish when the installation is complete. (Fig.2).

Installing the USB drivers

Certain operating systems will install drivers automatically whilst others (e.g. Win10)

require you to do it manually.

Automatic installation:

1. Plug the data logger into a USB port. The driver will begin to install. Click on Next. (Fig. 3)

2. Select Install the software automatically and click on Next. (Fig. 4)

3. Click on Next. (Fig. 5)

4. Click on Finish when the installation is complete. (Fig. 6)

Manual installation (using Win10):

1. Plug the data logger into a USB port.

2. Using the search box in the taskbar, search for Device Manager.

3. In the list, under Other devices, right-click on TempRH DataRecorder and select

Update driver (Fig.7).

4. Click on Browse my computer for drivers (Fig 8).

5. Click on Browse and go to the place where you have the installation ﬁles (on the CD or

where they were downloaded and extracted) (Fig. 9). Select the Driver folder and then

click on OK. (Fig.10)

6. Click on Next. (Fig.11)

7. Click on Close once the drivers have been updated. (Fig. 12)

Note: Every time the data logger is plugged into the computer, the same USB port that it

was installed in should be used.

5. Use

1. With the data logger plugged in, double-click on the Datalogger Graph icon on the desktop

to start the software. The start screen will be displayed.

2. Click on Link > Logger Set and do thedesired settings. (Fig. 13)

Basic Settings

• Current Time: Showsactualtime.

• Manual/Instant: Select Instant if data collection should begin as soon as thelogger is

removed from USB-port. Select Manual to start data collectionlater.

• Log Name: Enterthedesired name,e.g., location of logger.

• Sample Points: Selected desired number of measurement events (50 to 16000 times).

• Sample Rate: Select desired measurement interval (10 seconds to 24 hours).

• LEDs Flash Cycle: Select desired LED ﬂash interval (10, 20 or 30 seconds).

Alarm Settings (settings for alarm)

Note: Alarmlevels can only be set if thebox LEDs ﬂash… is checkmarked.

• LEDs ﬂash for high and lowalarm: Activate LED to ﬂash when areading is above

or below theinstalled alarmlevel. Bearin mind that theLED consumes current if it is

activated and hence reduces battery lifetime.

• Temperature and Humidity: Setupper (High) and lower (Low) alarm limit for temperature

and air humidity (Humidity) as well as themeasurement unit (Celsius or Fahrenheit).

Click on Setup to save settings. Note: Thedata logger must be connected to a USB port to

be able to save thesettings. Clickon Default if you wish to restore factory settings. Clickon

Cancel if you wish to interrupt setting.

Note: TheLED ﬂash interval is factory-installed to 10 seconds but can be changed from

10 seconds to 20 or 30 seconds with theaccompanying software “Datalogger Graph” to save

battery energy. LEDﬂashing for anactivated alarm can be shut off with theaccompanying

software to save battery energy.

7. Viewing results of measurements

Collectingdata

A) If you selected Instant in “Basic Settings” data starts collecting as soonas you have

clicked on SETUP.

B) If you chose Manual in “Basic Settings” your data logger must be started manually by

pressing theyellow button on thedata logger. BothLEDs ﬂash one at thesame time when

thedata logger starts.

Note: Agreen double ﬂash every ten seconds indicates that themanual start has been

activated in thesoftware but thedata logger has not started. Inthat position, no data is

stored. Thedata logger must be started manually by pressing theyellow button.

Thedata logger will save data as many times as have been set under “Sample Points”.

Thegreen LED “REC” ﬂashes once each time ameasurement ismade.

Transferring saved measurement data from data logger to PC

1. Connect thedata logger to thesame USB-port it was connected to during theinstallation.

2. Double-click on theDatalogger Graph icon on “Desktop” to start thesoftware.

3. Click on Download to retrieve saved data from thedata logger to PC. (Fig. 14)

4. When thetransfer is complete theboxes “Save” and “View” appear.

Enter aﬁle name and thename of thefolder where theﬁle is to besaved. Thenclick on Save

tosave. Theﬁle is saved initially in REC-format. Thesaved ﬁle can later be saved as Text ﬁle

(txt), bit map (bmp) or excel ﬁle (xls).

View (Fig. 16)

Click on View to view saved data graphically. Thenumber of measurements isshown

(in theexample here 382 measurements).

Thesaved temperature and relative humidity (and dew point) readings are shown graphically.

Thespeciﬁed alarm limits also appear if Alarm is activated in thebox LEDs ﬂash… (Fig. 17)

Move thecursor into thediagram and drag theblue line to thedesiredtime. Thetime reading

appears in red text under thediagram. Inthepresent example, thetemperature was 21.4 ºC,

thedew point (DP) 9.0 and therelative humidity (RH) 45.2 %. (Fig. 18)

If you wish to save data for acertain time,

there is azoom-function. Usethemouse

pointer for “Drag and release” in

thediagram to enlarge thedesiredtime.

View >View All.

8. Careand maintenance

Use asoft dry cloth to clean theunit. Neveruse strong detergents that contain alcohol,

ammonia, gasoline, or abrasives as they can damage thecasing.

9. Responsible disposal

This symbol indicates that this product should not be disposed of with general

household waste. This applies throughout the entire EU. In order to prevent

any harm to the environment or health hazards caused by incorrect waste

disposal, the product must be handed in for recycling so that the material can

be disposed of in a responsible manner. When recycling your product, take it to

your local collection facility or contact the place of purchase. They will ensure

that the product is disposed of in an environmentally sound manner.

• Placera dataloggern på mätplatsen. Denansluts efter mätningen till USB-porten på din dator

för att visa lagraddata.

• Lagrar upp till 16 000 mätvärden.

• Inställbar mätintervall: Från2 sekunder till 24 timmar.

• Mätområde –40 °C till 70 °C och 0 till 100 % RH.

• Levereras med batteri, upphängningsclip samt engelsk programvara för Windows 10,

3. Batteri

Batteriet bör bytas efter 12 månader eller innan speciellt viktig mätning av temperatur och

luftfuktighet. Mätdata ﬁnns sparade på dataloggern även om batteriet ärslut. Bytbatteri och

anslut den till ettUSB-uttag. Programvaran Datalogger Graph på datorn behövs för att överföra

sparade data och för att sedan starta om mätningen.

Lämna inte dataloggern kvar iUSB-uttaget längre tid än vad som behövs eftersom den förbrukar

mera strömdå.

Sätt ibatteriet såhär

1. Använd enmejsel för

att försiktigt bända

losskåpan.

2. Dra ur mätenheten.

3. Sätt ibatteriet enligt

märkningen.

4. Tryck in mätenheten

ikåpan. Var noga med att

kåpan sluter tätt.

Installera programvaranförst

Installera programet från den medföljande CD-skivan eller ladda ner installationsﬁlerna från

www.clasohlson.se .

Nerladdning: Sök efter produkten (36-4208-1), välj ”Produktdetaljer” och ladda ner ”Programvara

inkl. drivrutin”. När ﬁlen är nerladdad ska den packas upp med lämpligt program.

Ex. Win10: I utforskaren, högerklicka på ﬁlen, välj Extract all och tryck därefter Extract.

1. Öppna skivan/mappen med installationsﬁlerna i ”Utforskaren”.

2. Klicka på Setup.exe.

3. Klicka på Next (Fig.1, sid 28).

4. Klicka på Next och sedan Install.

5. Klicka på Finish när installationen är klar. (Fig.2).

Vissa operativsystem hittar drivrutinen automatiskt medans på andra (t.ex. Win10) måste

2. I aktivitetsfältets sökruta, sök efter/välj Device Manager.

3. I listan, under Other devices, högerklicka på TempRH DataRecorder och välj Update

4. Klicka på Browse my computer for drivers (Fig 8).

5. Klicka Browse och gå till den plats där du har installationsﬁlerna (på skivan eller där du

laddade ner och packade upp ﬁlerna) (Fig. 9). Välj mappen Driver och tryck sedan OK.

Obs! Tänk på att, varje gång dataloggern ansluts till datorn, använda samma USB-port

som den installerats i.
