Dear Customer:

Thank you for purchasing your equipment from Component Playgrounds. We are proud of our products and we are

confident that you will enjoy your equipment for many years.

NOTE! In order for bolt length guide included on the parts identification page to be correct, you may have to remove

the scaling when printing. To do this, click "print", then under "page scaling" select "none". Then proceed to print.

Your product is being shipped to you on a common carrier truck line and will be brought directly to your home. All

shipments are delivered to curbside only. The receiver is responsible to unload the merchandise from the truck and

should make arrangements to have someone help unload upon delivery. Included below are some guidelines that

should be followed when receiving your shipment.

1. Confirm that the number of pieces being delivered matches with the number of pieces originally shipped.

2. Your equipment may arrive on a pallet. If so, please verify with the packing list that all pieces have arrived. If

there are any pieces missing, note this directly on to the delivery receipt before you sign. Some

pieces, such as club house supports, may be shipped separate from the pallet.

3. Pay careful attention to the condition of the product when it arrives. If there are parts that have been

damaged, note these problems on the delivery receipt before you sign and accept delivery of the

product.

4. Open packaging of slides, glider seats, etc. to inspect for concealed damage.

5. If your shipment appears to have damage and/or missing pieces, a claim must be filed with the

freight company within two business days. Component Playgrounds will assist you with this

process. Contact the Shipping Manager Toll Free @ 877-530-0222 for claims assistance.

6. Ask your driver to sign or initial the freight slip acknowledging any damage or discrepancies.

7. Get a copy of the delivery receipt from your delivery driver before he leaves.

All shortages and damaged items are the sole responsibility of the carrier. You are responsible to notify

Component Playgrounds of any shortages or damage relating to your shipment within 2 business days of receipt

of your equipment. After this time, any claim for shortage or loss cannot be honored.

Component Playgrounds cannot be responsible for replacement of any parts missing or damaged that have

not been properly noted on the delivery receipt. Component playgrounds cannot be responsible for

damaged or missing pieces due to the fault of, or loss by the freight company.

digging holes.

#2 Mark and dig leg anchor holes

Slide both ends of Top Rail into 9” Socket of Arch Swing Ends.

Insert and tighten 4 set screws at each end.

#1 Assembling Arch Sections & Top

Rail

Using the assembled top rail, mark the position of each leg hole.

After marking the leg positions, move the assembled top rail to one

side and proceed to dig the holes.

Step 4:

1. Slide the smaller end of the legs into the Arch Swing End. Find Arch

Swing Bolt pack.

2. Join the legs to the assembled top rail using 4 set screws per leg.

3. Tighten all set screws using allen wrench provided.

Step 5: Next, use three (or more) adults, divided among each of

the three lower legs, to stand the structure up into place.

Note: Due to the height and weight of this structure, this step may

require additional help to lift the structure into a standing position.

Stand up into holes.

Step 6: Make small adjustments as needed to level out the structure’s top rail and legs

installation page.

All posts and pipe are prepared with enough length to accommodate 12" deep impact

attenuating ground cover. Component Playgrounds recommends that 12" of impact

attenuating surfacing be placed under and around the playground and any adjacent

structures. Playground equipment should not be installed over hard surfaces such

as concrete, asphalt or grass.

If the specifications on your project call for less ground cover, you may simply cut the

pipe to the desired length or you may dig the holes deeper. Please refer to the ASTM

Designation: F 1487 - 05 Standard Safety Performance Specification for Playground

Equipment for Public Use, or you may also refer to the CPSC guidelines for public and

commercial playgrounds for more information regarding surfacing requirements.

Safety and Clearance Guidelines

For more information regarding public playground safety and your responsibilities as the

purchaser, owner, manager or installer of this equipment, please contact the US Consumer

Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and obtain the newest version of the Handbook for Public

Playground Safety. This handbook is available by visiting www.cpsc.gov, or by calling

Component Playgrounds at 1-877-530-0222.

The entire area under and around the playground must be covered with some form of impact

attenuating ground cover. The surfacing selected must have a critical fall height rating value of

at least the highest designated play surface on the equipment. The critical fall height rating of

the selected material must be in accordance with

A.S.T.M. Standard F1292. You may order A.S.T.M. Standard F1292, Standard specification for

impact attenuation of surface systems under and around playground equipment, by contacting

the American Society for testing and Materials (A.S.T.M.). by calling 610-832-9585, or by

visiting their web site at www.astm.org.

• Component Playgrounds recommends that a minimum of 12" of proper impact

attenuating surfacing be installed prior to opening the playground for use by children.

• Component Playgrounds also recommends that a regular maintenance program be

implemented.

• We also recommend that the equipment be regularly and properly maintained and that

the ground cover remains at the recommended depth and the area is kept clean from

debris or other items that may present a safety hazard.

Clearance guidelines are important to help reduce the risk of congestion on the playground and

to reduce the risk of accidental impact with adjacent structures, other children or the edge of the

playground pit. Please refer to the CPSC Handbook for Public Playground Safety for more detail

of the safety guidelines.

• There should be a minimum fall zone surrounding the structure of no less than 6'.

• Slides must have a use zone from the exit of the chute equal to the deck height that the

slide is mounted from. This distance must be no less than 6' and does not need to

exceed 14'. The use zones for slides must not overlap the use zone of another

component.

• Swings have a use zone that extends to the front and rear of the top rail pivot point a

minimum distance of twice the height of the top rail. This measurement is made from the

pivot point to the level of the protective surfacing. The swings also require a minimum

distance of 6' from the sides of the structure.

• Multi-axis swings have a use zone that extends 360 degrees from the pivot point for a

minimum distance of 6' plus the length of the suspending members.

• Most other components on the structure will require a minimum 6' clearance from the

edge of the pit, edging or adjacent use zones.

• We recommend that parts or individual playground components not approved or

manufactured by Component Playgrounds, should not be attached or added to the

playground.
