BP2X Bipolar Surround/

Satellite Speaker System. These revolutionary

loudspeakers utilize state-of-the-art components

(homopolymer-coned bass/midrange drivers, moving

coil ferrofluid-cooled dome high-frequency radiators,

uniphase crossover networks, etc.), anon-resonant

monocoque cabinet and low-diffraction construction

in order to achieve the most lifelike sound possible in

your listening room for many years to come. These

compact, high-quality bipolar (equal sound radiates

both front and rear) speaker systems are intended pri-

marily for use as arear or side speakers in

Connecting

Your

Loudspeakers

It is critical for proper performance that all speakers (left, right, center and rear) be

connected in proper phase. Note that one terminal

each speaker (+) is colored red

and the other (-) is colored black. Please make certain that you connect the red (+)

terminal on each speaker to the red (+) terminal

For Rear

Side Surround Speakers

The BP1.2X and BP2X are designed to be extremely flexible in terms

placement when used as surround speakers. They may be used on the side walls,

rear walls

walls the speakers should normally be located adjacent to or behind the listening

position. The speakers may also be placed near the rear comers

and Right) Speakers

Because

their superb performance characteristics, the BP1.2X and BP2X can

also be used as afront main system. In this configuration they should normally be

placed about 6-8 feet apart approximately at ear level with the inside facing baffle,

which has drivers mounted on it, facing towards the listening position.

For

Front

Effects Speakers

The

BPl.2X

and BP2X are ideal for use

front effects speakers in DSP installa-

tions. They should be placed on the front wall with the wire tenninals against the wall

and the speakers separated by approximately two-thirds

the front wall. Placement

above ear level

recommended ifpossible; however, lower placement

possible,

necessary.

Mounting

the

BP1.2X and

BP2X

Each

BPl.2X

and BP2X comes with apremounted mounting plate which may be

used to hang the speakers on the wall. Use atoggle bolt or other similar anchored

fastener in the wall to hold the screw which the mounting plate will hang on. Do not

use an unanchored screw in the wall.
