POWERTHEMETER
Pressthe buttontoturnonthemeter.Thebatterysymbolinformstheuserastothebattery
strength.Connectthebatterychargertorechargethebattery.Longpressthebuttonto
poweroff.TheLCDwillcountdown:3,2,1,thenOFFbeforeswitchingoff.
AUTOPOWEROFF
Themeterwillswitchoffafter30minutesofinactivity.Pressanyfunctionbuttontopreventthe
meterfrompoweringoff;theautopowerofftimerwillbethenbereset.TheAPOdisplay
symbolremindstheuserthatAutoPowerOFFisalwaysactive.
GERNERALUSE
AllLCDdisplaylineswillswitchONwhenpowerisappliedtothemeter.ThebottomTVOC
displaywillcountdownfrom10secondsorfrom90seconds(dependingonthe
environment)tozero.Whencountdowniscompletethemeterisreadyforuse.
Innormalmode,thetopdisplayindicatestheHCHOconcentrationinPPMormg/m³.The
bottomdisplayindicatestheTVOCconcentrationinPPMormg/m³.
UsetheUNITbuttontoswitchunitsbetweenPPMandmg/m³.
Withthemeteron,ifthemeasuredHCHOconcentrationexceedsthehighorlowuser‐
programmableAlarmthresholds,theLEDdisplaywillflashredincolorandtheaudible
beeperwillsound(unlessithasbeendisabledwiththeSET/▼button).PressSET/▼to
silencethealarmbeeper(whenitissounding)ortodisablethebeeperentirely.When
disabled,thedisplayedbeepersymbolisswitchedoff.

disable/enablethealarmbeeper.Thisbuttonisalsousedasadownarrowtochangethe
highandlowAlarmthresholdvaluesintheAlarmSetupmode.
2. Longpressthe▼SETbuttontoentertheAlarmSetupMode(SeeAlarmSetupsection).
3. Shortpressthe▲UNITbuttontochangetheunitofmeasure(PPMormg/m³)ortouseit
asanuparrowtosetthealarmthresholdvaluesintheAlarmSetupmode.

BATTERYCHARGEandREPLACEMENT
1. Whenthebatteryrequirescharging,plugthesuppliedbatterychargerintothemeter(left
side,underflap)andtoasourceofACpower.Afullchargerequires2hours.
2. Toreplacethebattery,opentherearbatterycompartmentandreplacethePolymer
lithium‐ionbattery(7.4V1300mAh).Re‐assemblethemeterbeforeuse(part#VPC‐BATT)
BatterySafetyNotes:Pleasedisposeofbatteriesresponsibly;neverdisposeofbatteriesinafire,
batteriesmayexplodeorleak.Ifthemeterisnottobeusedfor60daysormore,removethe
batteryandstoreseparately.
Neverdisposeofusedbatteriesorrechargeablebatteriesinhouseholdwaste.
Asconsumers,usersarelegallyrequiredtotakeusedbatteriestoappropriatecollection
sites,theretailstorewherethebatterieswerepurchased,orwhereverbatteriesaresold.
Disposal:Donotdisposeofthisinstrumentinhouseholdwaste.Theuserisobligatedtotakeend‐of‐
