Dear Customer,
Thank you ery much for choosing our Satellite Recei er.
You ha e selected a recei er of our new generation – the experience of 10 years
of digital transfer technology go into our FaVal Recei ers.
Please read through the operating instructions carefully to pre ent
malfunctioning of the de ice. Please particularly obser e the safety information.
Non-obser ance can lead not only to damage in the de ice, but also to personal
injury.
Your recei er is preinstalled in the deli ery condition and changes do not
normally need to be made in the satellite settings. This makes the first
installation especially con enient.
Should unexpected problems arise, see the chapter entitled “Eliminating
malfunctions”. Your specialized dealer will also be glad to speak with you and
pro ide assistance.

Safet Information
Read the operating instructions thoroughly before connecting the de ice.
•Operate the de ice only on mains with a corresponding power connection.
•Operate the de ice near an outlet and configure it freely accessibly for safety
reasons.
•The digital recei er must be disconnected from the mains before it is
connected to an LNB, Mult iswitch or TV set and ideo recorder. Otherwise
the de ice could be damaged.
•Make sure the de ice stands free. Maintain a distance of at least 20 cm to the
left and right and 50 cm abo e from other de ices and furniture parts where
you operate the de ice.
•Make sure all entilation holes are free and adequate air can circulate
through the de ice. Do not put other electronic de ices on the recei er. Do
not place objects such as newspapers, magazines, table cloths on the de ice.
Make sure the entilation grids are not co ered by net curtains or curtains.
Do not place burning objects, for example burning candles, on the de ice.
•Make sure the de ice is not exposed to steam, rain or other splashing or
dripping liquids. Do not put any objects filled with liquids such as ases on
the de ice.
•Ne er open the de ice. Danger of electric shock!
•To make the de ice completely free of tension, you must unplug the power
cable from the outlet. If you do not use the de ice for a long time, unplug the
power plug from the outlet.
•Lightning in the antenna is dangerous, so the LNB as well as the satellite
antenna must be bound with lightning protection or a suitable grounder.
•To protect your recei er, switch it off during thunderstorms and unplug the
power plug and antenna cable. This protects your recei er from damage.
•Do not touch the power cable with wet hands!
•Make sure you ha e made all connections before you connect the de ice to
the power network.
•Use original parts or parts recommended by a specialized dealer only to
a oid damage to your de ice or personal injury. By non-obser ance of this
warning, the de ice guarantee expires. All repairs must be made by a
certified specialist.

Proper handling of batteries
•Batteries can contain poisonous substances. Keep batteries out of reach of
children, as the batteries could be swallowed.
•Leaking batteries can cause damage in the remote control. Batteries can
contain poisonous substances which are harmful to the en ironment.
Dispose of the batteries in complete accordance with the legal regulations.
Ne er throw the batteries away with normal garbage.
Intended use
The digital satellite recei er is for reception of digital tele ision programs or radio
programs in the pri ate domain. It is exclusi ely designated for the stated
purpose and may only be used for this. This also includes obser ance of all
information in these operating instructions, particularly the safety information.
Any other use is not in accordance with the requirements and can cause damage
to property and e en personal injury.
The manufacturer takes no responsibility for damage or injuries arising from
nonobser ance of the safety information or from improper handling of the
de ice.
Settings in the recei er must only be made by persons who ha e proper
knowledge in handling entertainment electronics. This also means that e ery
person who mounts, connects, operates, cleans or disposes of this recei er has
read the complete operating instructions of the de ice to ensure intended use.
Keep the operating instructions for this purpose.

1. Installation
Connect the recei er with the antenna cable and plug the recei er into your
TV set. Plug the power plugs of the connected de ices in the power socket
and switch on the recei er with the Standby button.
Then press the “MENU” button
Now select the menu item “Installation” (PIN code: 0000). In this menu you can
edit your antenna settings and make additional settings to your satellite
reception.
With the direction buttons “CH ▲” and “CH ▼” (up and down) as well as “VOL◄”
and “VOL ►” (jump from one le el to the next) you can na igate the menu, and
with the “OK”button you can go into a menu item. To return to a menu item, use
the “EXIT” or “MENU” button.

The channels are preset. Adjust the settings only if you know the
exact alues and are familiar with satellite transmission technology.
1.1 Antenna Settings
In this menu item you can set your recei er to the desired satellite. The following
parameters can be defined: LNB type, frequency, 22 kHz, DiSEqC, LNB power,
Scan mode. With the “VOL◄” and “VOL ►” buttons you can enter the desired
alues, then "Sa e" and confirm with the “OK” button.
Satellite name
In the right column you can select among pre-programmed satellites the
satellites you recei e. (Only the satellites which your satellite dish is aimed at are
recei eable.)
LNB T pe
You can select the LNB type you use here (Standard: Uni ersal).
22 kHz Tone
If your LNB is not uni ersal, the alue must be changed accordingly.
Scan mode
Select “Search” to search for channels on the selected satellite. In the next
submenu first select the type of search function for the selected satellite:
