F - 9 fault code, causes and repair
F -9 codes are set when the control board does not see sail switch circuit close.
Check the cooling fan operation. If oven temperature is over 200°F the motor should be running.
•The cooling fan motor windings can be checked at relay board J5-pin 2 OW wire to W neutral wire.
•Resistance is 20Ω. ± 10%
•If cooling fan is operating, verify sail switch is closed. Check at:
•Relay board J17-pin 1 P to J16-pin 5 W.
•If switch circuit is open, access the cooling fan assembly.*
•Check switch and replace if needed. If switch is good,
•Proceed with following:

There is a small amount of tolerance for the sail movement. If the range is installed against the wall, the range’s
back cover can be pushed in, this condition causes the sail to touch the range back and not activate the switch.
