1 Mutes the receiver volume
2 Switches the receiver on and off (into standby)
3to Chooses channel numbers and numbers on menus
that relate to different options
4 Switches subtitles on and off
5 Adjusts the aspect ratio (height and width) of the
screen when using 4:3 display modes
6 Switches the audio description on or off
7 Enters and exits the menu screen
8 This button turns off the signal from the receiver’s
SCART socket. The TV will go back to its previous
mode for example, Analogue TV
9 Enters and exits the electronic programme guide
(EPG)
10 Gives programme information on the TV screen
11 Moves around the on-screen menus
12 Selects options on the on-screen menu
13 Gives digital text
14 Returns to the previous menu screen in the menu
system
15 Exits the menu system and electronic programme
guide (EPG), and goes back to the last programme you
were watching

18 This is used to go up and down the channel list a
page at a time and to go up and down a channel at a
time when viewing a programme
19 Switches between the channel you’re watching and
the channel you were previously watching

yellow and blue

text pages. These buttons are also used in the
electronic programme guide (EPG)
