General Information
This manual covers the installation of HUBBCOM Dual-Port Desktop/Wall-Mount Smart Controllers,
Models GSC1100 and GSC2100. The Model GSC1100 Smart Controller includes a handset and is only
suitable for horizontal (landscape) installation. The Model GSC2100 Smart Controller does not include a
handset and is suitable for vertical (portrait) or horizontal (landscape) use (see Figure 1). See the GAI-

information, and the GUDA (GAI-Tronics Universal Device Application).
HUBBCOM smart controllers require activation and configuration when placed into service (see the
Activation section). Use the GUDA (GAI-Tronics Universal Device Application) software to configure
the smart controller for its intended purpose. Pub. 42004-531 provides instructions to obtain, install, and
run the GUDA software. Refer to Pub. 42004-551 for information on HUBBCOM smart controller
configuration parameters (see the Reference Documents section).
Important Safety Instructions
•Read, follow, and retain instructions—All safety and operating instructions should be read and
followed before operating the unit. Retain instructions for future reference.
•Heed warnings—Adhere to all warnings on the unit and in the operating instructions.
•Attachments—Attachments not recommended by the product manufacturer should not be used, as
they may cause hazards.
•Servicing—Do not attempt to service this unit by yourself. Opening or removing covers may expose
you to dangerous voltage or other hazards. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel.
•HUBBCOM Smart Controllers are for indoor use only.
—Install equipment without modification and according to all applicable local,
national, and international electrical codes. North America—Consult the
National Electrical Code (NFPA 70), Canadian Standards Association (CSA
22.1), and local codes for specific requirements regarding your installation.
Install Class 2 circuit wiring must in accordance with the NEC.
