Treibersoftware - USB 3.1 Schnittstelle

Die Nutzung an einer Type-C™USB 3.1-Schnittstelle setzt einen instal-

lierten USB 3.1 Controller in Ihrem System voraus. Bitte installieren Sie

die USB 3.1 Treiber Software für den Controller.Beim Anschließen wird

das IB-367-CPD+ in der Regel automatisch erkannt und ist betriebs-

bereit. Windows ≥ 8 hat integrierte Treiber für die USB 3.1-Schnittstelle.

Beim Anschluss des Gerätes aktualisiert das Betriebssystem automatisch

seine Treiber und erkennt das neue Gerät.Bei älteren Betriebssystemen

(z.B. Win 7) ist es notwendig, zuerst die entsprechenden USB 3.1-Treiber

zu installieren.

Inbetriebnahme

Um die Festplatte mit Energie zu versorgen, ist das Netzteil anzuschlie-

ßen. Mit dem beigefügten Type-C™USB 3.1 Kabel können Sie das

Gerät sowohl an USB Type-C™2.0, 3.0 als auch an 3.1 Schnittstellen

anschließen.

Festplattenmontage

1. Befestigen Sie Ihre Festplatten auf dem Wechselrahmen und sichern

Sie ihn mit den im Zubehörsatz enthaltenen Schrauben, um Schäden

an der Festplatte durch unbeabsichtigte Bewegungen zu vermeiden.

2. Verbinden Sie die Gehäuseeinheit mit dem Computer über das mit-

gelieferte USB 3.1 Typ-C™Kabel.

3. Schließen Sie das Wechselstromkabel an das Gleichstrom-Netz-

teil an und verbinden Sie dann ein Ende mit der Anschlussbuchse

am Gehäuse und das andere Ende mit der Netzsteckdose.

4. Nach Abschluss der Arbeiten können Sie das Gerät einschalten.

Sobald auch Ihr Computer gebootet hat, sollte Ihr Betriebssystem

das Laufwerk automatisch erkennen.

5. Wenn die installierte Festplatte formatiert werden muss, befolgen

Sie die Formatierungsanweisungen des Betriebssystems, um das

Laufwerk nach Ihren Wünschen zu formatieren. Nach Abschluss

der Formatierung ist das Gerät betriebsbereit.

Anwendung − Betrieb

Das Gehäuse wird über das USB-Kabel mit dem Computer verbunden.

Dann schließen Sie das Gerät mittels des Netzteils an eine Stromquelle

an und schalten das Gerät ein.

Achtung: Eine neue Festplatte muss vom Betriebssystem erst initialisiert,

partitioniert und formatiert werden um vom System angezeigt zu

werden.

Achtung: Bitte das Ende von Schreib- und Lesevorgängen abwarten

bevor ein angeschlossenes Gehäuse vom PC getrennt wird, um Daten-

verlust zu vermeiden.

Wenn die Festplatte nicht sofort vom System erkannt wird bitte prüfen:

• Ob die Treibersoftware installiert ist

• Ob die Festplatte initialisiert, partitioniert und formatiert ist.

LED-Funktion

Die LED leuchtet blau für die Stromversorgung und blinkt lila für einen

Festplattenzugriff.

USB Power Delivery und alternate mode

Power Delivery 2.0

USB Power Delivery 2.0 verfügt über eine 5/9/12 V Span-

nungsversorgung über das USB Type™-C Kabel mit insgesamt

bis zu 24 W. Wenn ein Notebook oder Handheld-Gerät

als Host verwendet wird, kann es gleichzeitig aufgeladen

werden.

Hinweis: Die Power Delivery-Funktion muss von der Host

Type-C™-Schnittstelle unterstützt werden!

Wenn der Host während der Verbindung neu startet, muss

das IB-367-CPD+ ebenfalls aus- und eingeschaltet werden,

um die weitere Ladung zu gewährleisten.

DisplayPort™alternate mode

Schließen Sie einfach einen Bildschirm über die mini Display-

Port™Schnittstelle an und das Hostgerät sollte automatisch

einen zusätzlichen Bildschirm erkennen.

Hinweis: Ihr Host-Gerät muss den DisplayPort™alternate Mo-

dus auf der gewählten USB Type-C™-Schnittstelle unterstützen!

Application

Driver Software - USB 3.1 Interface

The use of the USB 3.1 interface requires an installed USB 3.1 (Gen 2)

controller on your system. Please install the USB 3.1 driver software for

the controller.

By connecting to a USB 3.1 host interface the IB-367-CPD+ normally

will be automatically detected.

Windows ≥8 has integrated driver for the USB 3.1 interface. By connec-

ting the device, the OS will update the driver and connect the USB 3.1

device automatically. After the device installation has completed, you

can access the new device. For older operating systems (e.g. Win 7),

you need to install the USB 3.1 driver at ﬁrst.

Starting up

You need power supply to get enough electricity to drive the HDDs. With the

USB 3.1 Type-C™data cable you can connect the IB-367-CPD+ to a

USB 3.1 Type-C™interface. For mini DP usage a USB 3.1 (Gen 2) Type-C™

port with DisplayPort™alternate mode is necessary. For USB Power Delivery

2.0 Charging a USB 3.1 (Gen 2) port with USB Power Delivery 2.0 support

for

5 V/3 A, 9 V/2 A or 12 V / 2 A is necessary.

Attention: Depending on the host system, most won´t charge while in use.

The delivered power is suitable for charging the host computer while it is idle

or turned off.

HDD/SSD Installation

1. Mount your hard drives onto the removable drive tray and secure it

with the screws included in the

2. Connect the enclosure unit to the computer via the delivered USB 3.1

Type-C™cable.

3. Attach the AC power cable to the DC power adapter then con-

nect one end to the power socket on the enclosure unit and the

other end to the power socket.

4. Once completed, you may power on the unit. Once your compu-

ter has also booted, your operating system should recognize the

drive automatically.

5. If the hard drive installed requires formatting, follow the formatting

instructions given by the operating system to format the drive volu-

me to your preference. Once the formatting has been completed,

the device is ready for use.

Application − Using the external drive

Connect the device via the USB cable to the computer. Then connect the

power adapter and switch the power button on.
