Congratulations! You have just purchased a Forage Chopper JF 30 EVO which is simple to
operateandmaintain.Thisisthehighestqualityinthiskindofproduct,especiallydesignedto
meetyourneeds.
This manual contains operating instructions that must be followed in order to provide good
operation, safety, and durability for your JF 30 EVO. We recommend reading it first carefully
beforestartingtooperatethemachine.
You will find an identification plate fastened on the machine displaying the manufacturing
serial number. Note this number is on the guarantee certificate of this manual. This
information is very important for the identification of your machine, whenever you may need
technicalsupportorreplacementsofparts.

SAFETY
-Readthe instruction manual before turningonthe machine. Pay closeattentionand respect
alltheoperatingandsafetyrecommendationswhileoperating.SHARETHISINFORMATION
WITHOTHERUSERS.
-Donotoperatethemachinewhileorafterdrinkingalcoholicbeveragesormedicationswhich
affect your normal condition. Pay attention to what you are doing and use your good sense.
Anylackofattentionwhileoperatingthemachinecanresultinaseriousaccident.
-Disconnect thetractormotor beforeperforminganymaintenance jobonthemachine. Never
trytoperformanyrepairswhilethemachineisturnedon.Alwayspaycompleteattention!
-Beforeturningonthemachine,checkifthereareanytoolsorotherobjectsonit.
- Look around the machine before turning it on. Keep animals and spectators away at a safe
distance,awayforthepick-uparea.Beespeciallycarefulofchildren.
-Wearpersonalprotectiveequipment-PPE-whileoperatingthemachine.Exposuretonoise
forprolongedperiodcancausehearingdamageorloss.Wearearplugsandsafetyglasses.
-Neveropenthemachinewhenitisoperating.
- Never touch the belts or gears when the machine is operating. Keep your hands away from
movingparts.
-Dressappropriatelyforoperatingthemachine.Keeplonghairtiedupanddonotwearloose-
fitting clothing. Remove rings, chains, and any other objects which can become stuck in the
movingpartsormechanisms.
-Keepthesafetylabelsingoodconditionandlegible.Replacethemwhenevernecessary.
- Keep the shielding and protections in the proper places and do not operate the machine
withoutthembeinginstalled.
-Itis prohibited for peopleto stand on any partof the machine whileoperating. Whenever it is
necessary to get on the machine for any adjustment or repair, disconnect the power take-off
fromthetractorandwaituntilthecomponents/partsarecompletelymotionless.
-Nevertrytocleanorremoveproducts,strawetc.,whilethemachineisturnedon.Turnoffthe
motorandwaituntilallmovingpartsstopbeforecleaninganypartofthemachine.
- Never leave the machine operating when nobody is there.Always turn off the motor before
leavingtheoperatingarea.
- If you notice any abnormality in the operation: vibrations, different noises etc., turn off the
machineimmediately.Checkandeliminatethecausebeforeturningonagain.
- If it is necessary to work on the machine when it is raised by the hydraulic system, it must be
raised safely. Hydraulic mechanisms can lower without any reason or from leakage in the
system,andcauseanaccident.
-Donotplacethemachineoncementblocks,hollowbricks,orothersupportswhichcancrush
fromaprolongedweightload.

-Donotworkunderamachineliftedbyonlyjacks;alwaysuseasafesupportbase.
- Never operate the machine in closed surrounding and without any ventilation, the gases
releasedfromthetractormotor(dieselorgasoline)arehighlypoisonoustoyourhealth.
- Moving parts, due to inertia, continue moving even after the machine is turned off. Before
touching any part, disconnect from its actuation source, look and listen to make sure there is
nomovement.Onlytouchapartwhenyouaresureitismotionless.Alwayspayattention!
- Before starting to install the electric motor, make sure the local electric power is
disconnected.
- The pick-up nozzle-chute cover (fig.4) was designed to guarantee more safety while being
operated,preventingthehandsfromreachingthepick-uprollers,thusavoidingaccidentswith
seriousinjuries.Donottakeoffthecover.
NEVER OPERATE THE FORAGE CHOPPER MACHINE WITHOUTTHE NOZZLE-CHUTE
PROTECTIVECOVER.
-Bepreparedforanypossibleaccident.Keepafirst-aidkitonhandandeasilyaccessibleand
knowhowtouseit.
- Comply with safety recommendations and pay close attention.Any lack of attention during
theoperationmayresultinaccident.

Read the instruction manual before
turning on the machine. Pay close
attention to all the operating and safety
recommendations, in order to avoid any
unexpected accidents that may occur
whileoperatingthemachine.
Turn off the tractor and remove the key
from the ignition before performing any
maintenance, adjustment, lubrication,
cleaning jobs etc., on the machine. Thus
you will avoid any accidental actuation
and avoid dangerous situations that may
causeseriousaccidents.
Do not open or remove covers and safety
shields on the machine while it is
operating.
Keep the hands away from gears and
other moving parts, as their movement
cancatchthemandcauseinjuries.
When operating the machine, wear
personal protective equipment (PPE).
Prolonged exposure to noise, without
noiseprotectioncancausehearingloss.
Do not open or remove covers and safety
shields on the machine while it is
operating.
Keep the hands away from belts and
other moving parts, as their movement
cancatchthemandcauseinjuries.

What is supplied with the machine
Pick-up nozzle-chute
TheJFMÁQUINAS FORAGE CHOPPERSweredesignedforshreddingforageplantswhich
werepreviouslyharvested,suchas:sugarcane,grasses,sorghum,cornetc.,usedformaking
forageforsilageordailyanimalfeed.
The actuation options are available with accessories actuated by high or low rpm electric
motors,diesel or gasoline motors, tractor power take-off(category II), with at least 30 HPand
540rpm.
-Instructionmanual.
-Pick-upandunloadernozzle-chutes(theyareunassembled).
-PTODriveshaft(onlyfortractoractuatedmodels).
Before installing the Nozzle-Chute in the machine, the
protectiveshieldcovermustbeinstalled.Thecoverwas
designed to guarantee safety during operation,
preventing hands from reaching pick-up rollers, thus
avoidingaccidents.
-ScrewtheprotectivecoverontheNozzle-Chute.
NEVER OPERATE THE FORAGE CHOPPER
MACHINEWITHOUTTHEPROTECTIVECOVER.
-Donotletanybodyremovetheprotectivecover.
Note:
The actuation method depends on the Forage Chopper machine model and the
accessoriesused,whichareorderedbasedonyourspecificneed.
TheJF30EVOisavailableonlyactuatedbyhighrpmelectricmotor.
The power requirements for actuation are listed in the section on TECHNICAL
SPECIFICATIONS,onthismanual.
