This operator’s manual is intended for professional farmers and per-

sons who are qualified for farm work and familiar with the assembly of

agricultural equipment.

Read the operator’s manual thoroughly before putting the machine in-

to service or assembling the machine. In this way you will get the best

working conditions and will be able to work safely.

All employed staff must frequently be trained in the use of the machine

(at least once a year) to comply with the rules given by the employer’s

insurance company. Untrained or unauthorized staff must not use this

machine.

Your dealer will assist with instructions in the use and maintenance of

the machine.

commence.

Always work carefully with agricultural machinery. Read through and

observe the safety instructions in this manual. Safety is your respon-

sibilitity.

a serious hazard. It emphasises precautions which have to be com-

plied with in order to prevent accidents.

This symbol can be found throughout this manual and on the warning

signs on the machine. They are for your safety and should be ob-

served at all times.

on the machine or tractor.

Adhere to the local laws regarding children’s minimum working age

with agricultural machinery.

The machine must only be used for harvest of common grass and ce-

real crops. The machine must QRW be used for harvest of maize, mow-

ing in parks and cutting of hedges, neither in vertical nor in horizontal

position.

8VHSHUVRQDOSURWHFWLRQGHYLFHV

Do not wear loose clothing which might catch in any of the moving

parts. In dusty conditions a suitable mask to EN 149 must be used.

Take care of excessive sound level. Certain tractor/implement combi-

nations, dependant on operating conditions, may generate a noise

level in excess of 85 dB at the operator’s ear, even in a ’Q’ cab. In

these circumstances ear defenders must be worn. Keep cab windows

and doors &/26(' at all times to reduce noise level.

7KHPDFKLQHPXVWRQO\ HFRXSOHGWRDFRUUHFWO\VL]HGWUDFWRU,

and no other machines or implements must be coupled. The weight of

the tractor must correspond to the machine. Observe all local laws.

Make sure that the tractor has the correct P.T.O. A machine intended

for 540 r.p.m. on the P.T.O. must QHYHU be coupled to a tractor with

1000 r.p.m. on the P.T.O.

&RXSOLQJRIWUDFWRUDQGPDFKLQH must be carried out as laid down

in the instructions. All lock bolts must have locking split pins. Observe

all local laws regarding road transport.

The tractor engine must $/:$<6 be stopped and the ignition key re-

moved before carrying out repairs, cleaning, lubricating or maintaining

the machine.

Be very careful when dealing with hydraulics. Use eye protection and

gloves. Escaping hydraulic oil under pressure might penetrate into the

skin and cause serious infection. See a doctor if you have been ex-

posed to injury.

All hydraulic functions must be in neutral position, the machine must

be lowered to the ground and be safely secured. Never allow children

to play or even stay near agricultural machinery.

Beware of your responsibility, - carelessness can cause serious injury

or death.

Before transporting on public roads, - always check that the machine

is locked with cotter bolt, that the coupling is in order, and that possible

hydraulic systems and pawls are locked, see the manual of the ma-

chine.

Drive carefully. Reduce speed when turning and driving on uneven

ground, - take care that tractor/machine is not swinging and becoming

unstable.

Please note that there is a danger of overturning when working on

slopes and in soft ground conditions.

The machine must not be used in situations that unbalances the trac-

tor.

It is the responsibility of the owner/operator to provide correct lamps

and reflectors on the machine, when it is being transported on public

roads during lighting-up time. Observe the local laws.

Always carry first aid equipment on the tractor. Also observe the local

legislation concerning fire extinguishers. When working with hay or

straw a fire extinguisher must be available at all times.

For safety reasons use only original spare parts. If injury occurs when

using non-original spare parts the 7DDUXSwarranty is invalidated.

Take care that the machine is properly maintained and kept in good

safe working condition. Never change the technical construction of the

machine.

damaged they must be replaced, - reference number for a complete

set of decals is 56.863.000.

The machine is equipped with decals serving your safety. The decals

must not be removed. If the decals are unreadable or fall off, you can

order new decals and place them on the machine.

Your body could be crused! Do not work under the machine unless it

has been safely supported. The tractor engine must be stopped, the

ignition key removed and the hand brake applied.

moved or opened before the machine has stopped rotating. The trac-

tor engine must be stopped, the ignition key removed and the hand

Rotating machine components! Never allow children to stay near ag-
