Important
◗Make sure the appliance and the cord do not
get wet.
◗Only use the cord supplied.
Charge indications
C◗Charging
As soon as you start charging the empty shaver,
the red light burns continuously.When there is
sufficient power for one shave,the green starts
blinking.As charging continues,more and more
sections will start blinking to indicate to what level
the batteries have been charged.
C◗Batteries fully charged
When the batteries have been fully charged,all
lights will become green.
◗Remaining shaving time
The number of lights illuminated indicates
approximately how much power there is left in
the batteries:the more lights are illuminated,the
more charge is left.A fully charged shaver has a
cordless shaving time of up to 70 minutes.
C◗Batteries running low
If the batteries are running low,the lower light
becomes red and starts blinking.

Charging
Recharge and keep the appliance at a
temperature between 5cC and 35cC.
The appliance is suitable for mains voltages
ranging from 100 to 240V.
You can also shave without charging by
connecting the shaver to the mains.
Do not leave the shaver connected to the mains
continuously.
C1Put the appliance plug into the shaver.
2Put the mains plug into the socket.
Do not recharge the shaver in a closed pouch.
3When charging for the first time and after
a long period of disuse:leave the shaver to
charge for 4 hours.
Charging normally takes approx.1 hour.
4Remove the mains plug from the socket
and disconnect the appliance plug from the
shaver when the batteries have been fully
charged.
Shaving
1Switch the appliance on by sliding the
on/off button upwards.
C2Move the shaving heads quickly over the
skin,making both straight and circular
movements.

Shaving on a dry face gives the best results.
Your skin may need 2-3 weeks to get accustomed
to the Philishave system.
3Switch the appliance off.
C4Put the protective cap on the shaver to
prevent damage.
Replace the shaving heads (type HQ4 Micro
Action) every 2 years for optimal shaving results.
Trimmer
For grooming sideburns and moustache.
C1Open the trimmer by pushing the slide
upwards.
The trimmer can be activated while the motor is
running.
Cleaning
◗Regular cleaning guarantees better shaving
results.
C◗For easy and optimal cleaning,the Philishave
Action Clean (shaving head cleaner,type
HQ100) is available.Ask your Philishave dealer
or retailer for information.
You can also clean the shaver in the following
way:

Shaving unit
Clean the shaving unit every week.
1Switch the appliance off,remove the mains
plug from the socket and disconnect the
appliance plug from the shaver.
C2Clean the top of the appliance first,using
the brush supplied.
C3Remove the shaving unit.
C4Clean the inside of the shaving unit and the
hair chamber with the brush.
5Put the shaving unit back onto the shaver.
Shaving heads
Clean the shaving heads every two months.
1Switch the appliance off,remove the mains
plug from the socket and disconnect the
appliance plug from the shaver.
C2Remove the shaving unit from the shaver.

C3Turn the wheel anticlockwise and remove
the retaining frame.
C4Remove and clean the shaving heads
(cutters and guards) one by one.
Do not mix up the cutters and the guards.
This is essential since each cutter has been
ground with its corresponding guard for optimal
performance.If you accidentally mix the sets up,it
could take several weeks before optimal shaving
performance is restored.
C5Clean the cutter with the short-bristled
side of the brush.
Brush carefully in the direction of the arrow.
C6Brush the guard.
If necessary,you can clean the shaving unit with a
degreasing liquid (e.g.alcohol).Remember to
lubricate the central point of the guards with a
drop of sewing machine oil after cleaning.
C7Reassemble the shaving unit:press the
wheel and turn it clockwise.
8Place the shaving unit back onto the
shaver.

Trimmer
Clean the trimmer every time you have used it.
1Switch the appliance off,remove the mains
plug from the socket and disconnect the
appliance plug from the shaver.
2Brush the trimmer.
3Lubricate the trimmer teeth with a drop
of sewing machine oil every six months.
Disposal of batteries
Remove the batteries when you discard the
appliance.Do not throw the batteries away with
the normal household waste,but hand them in at
an official collection point.You can also take the
batteries to a Philips Service Centre,which will
dispose of them in an environmentally safe way.
Only remove the batteries if they are completely
empty.
1Remove the mains plug from the socket
and disconnect the appliance plug from the
shaver.
C2Let the shaver run until it stops,undo the
screws and open the shaver.
3Remove the batteries.

The shaver may not be connected to the mains
again after the batteries have been removed.

Ladeanzeige
C◗Aufladen
Wenn Sie mit dem Aufladen leerer Akkus
beginnen,leuchtet die rote Kontrollampe auf.
Sobald genügend Energie für eine Rasur
vorhanden ist,beginnt die grüne Kontrollampe zu
blinken.ImVerlauf des Ladevorgangs blinkt ein
Sektor nach dem anderen und zeigt damit an,wie
stark die Akkus aufgeladen sind.
C◗Akkus voll aufgeladen
Wenn alle Sektoren grün leuchten,sind die Akkus
voll aufgeladen.
◗Die verbleibende Rasierzeit
Die Zahl der leuchtenden Sektoren gibt einen
Hinweise darauf,wie viel Energie noch zur
Verfügung steht.Je mehr Sektoren leuchten,um
so mehr Energie enthalten die Batterien.Mit voll
aufgeladenen Akkus können Sie sich bis zu 70
Minuten lang kabelfrei rasieren.
C◗Die Energie geht zur Neige
Kurz bevor die Energie der Akkus erschöpft ist,
leuchtet die Kontrollampe im untersten Sektor
rot auf.

Aufladen derAkkus
Laden Sie die Akkus bei ca.5cC bis 35cC.
Bewahren Sie sie auch in diesem
Temperaturbereich auf.
Das Gerät ist für Netzspannungen von 100 bis
240Volt geeignet.
Sie können sich bei leerem Akku auch über
Steckernetzgerät und Kabel am Netz reasieren.
Lassen Sie den Rasierapparat nicht ständig am
Netz angeschlossen.
C1Stecken Sie den Gerätestecker in den
Rasierapparat.
2Stecken Sie dann das Steckernetzteil in die
Steckdose.
Nehmen Sie das Gerät zum Laden aus derTasche.
3Beim erstmaligen Laden,aber auch wenn
der Rasierapparat für einen längeren
Zeitraum nicht benutzt wurde,sind die
Akkus nach ca.4 Stunden voll aufgeladen.
Unter normalen Umständen sind die Akkus nach
ca.1 Stunde aufgeladen.
4Ziehen Sie den Stecker aus der Steckdose
und den Gerätestecker vom Rasierer,
sobald dieAkkus voll aufgeladen sind.
