Special warnings

• Do not touch the antenna of the radio while transmitting.

• Do not open the housing of the radio and do not repair the radio

by yourself. In case of failure, contact a specialized service center.

• The device generates interference that could aect the operation

of televisions or radios. In case of interference, move the radio away

from the aected device.

• In order not to damage the radio, do not transmit for too long time.

• Do not use the radio in environments with corrosive or ﬂammable

substances.

• Do not clean the radio with corrosive chemical agents or water. Use

only a dry or slightly damp cloth to clean the radio’s housing.

1. Antenna

2. LED indicator

»When the radio is transmitting, the LED lights up red. When

the radio receives signals, the LED lights up green.

»When the battery is charging, the LED lights up red. When the

battery is fully charged, the LED lights up green.

4. PTT button. Press to transmit, release to receive.

5. Monitor / Scan key

»Long press the key to activate the Monitor function. Long

press the key again to deactivate the Monitor function.

»Brieﬂy press the key to activate the Scan function. Brieﬂy

press the key again to exit the Scan function.

6. Multifunctional key

Long press to switch between PRI and CALL.

• PRI (priority channel):

»Press and hold the multifunction key twice. For a short time,

the PRI icon appears on the screen in the lower right corner.

»Brieﬂy press the multifunction key to activate the PRI (priority

channel) function. The PRI icon and the priority channel

number set in the menu appear on the screen. Brieﬂy press

the multifunction key again to deactivate the priority channel

function. The radio returns to the previously used channel.

• CALL:

»Long press for three times the multifunction key. For a short

time, the CAL icon appears on the screen in the lower right

corner.

»Brieﬂy press the multifunction key to make a call. The ringtone

can be set in the menu.

»Note: You must wait for about 30 seconds before making a

new call. If you try to make a call earlier than 30 seconds, the

Er (error) icon will be displayed on the screen.

»Press the MENU key to save and move to the next submenu or

Transmission power level (TX).

PRI The priority channel is displayed on the screen. The priority

channel can be set in the menu.

VOX The VOX function is active.

MThe channel displayed on the screen is memorized.

GS Saved channels scanning mode is active.

BCL The BCL (Busy Channel Lockout) function is active.

SC Scanning function is active.

Keys are locked.

Battery level indicator.

Instructions for use

Charging the battery

The battery can be charged in two ways:

1. Connect the USB C cable directly to the radio’s USB C port.

2. Place the radio in the desktop charger. Plug the USB C cable into the

USB C port of the desktop charger.

Connect the USB cable to the 230V - 5V adapter. Insert the adapter

into an outlet.

Note: Do not use both charging methods simultaneously.

While charging the battery, the LED indicator on the radio will be red.

When the battery is fully charged, the LED indicator turns green.

Turn the radio on/o and Volume control

To turn on the radio, turn clockwise the knob on the top of the radio.

The screen will light up and you will hear a conﬁrmation beep. Continue

turning the knob in both directions until you reach the desired volume

level.

To turn o the radio, turn the knob counterclockwise until you hear a

click.

• Brieﬂy press the MENU key to enter the menu.

• Press the MENU key again to navigate through the submenus.

• Press the Up and Down keys to select the desired option for a

particular submenu.

• Press the MENU key to save and move to the next submenu or

long press the MENU key to save and exit the menu (you will hear

a double conﬁrmation beep).

• Press the EXIT key to exit the menu.

1. Squelch

Options: 5 levels are available (00 - 05). The higher the level you select,

the less interference you will have (you will receive only the strongest

signals), but it will aect the communication distance.

2. RX CTC CODE

Options: OFF, CTS-01 -> CTS-38, DCS-001I -> DCS-104I, DCS-

001N -> DCS-104N.

3. TX CTC CODE

Options: OFF, CTS-01 -> CTS-38, DCS-001I -> DCS-104I, DCS-

001N -> DCS-104N.

4. PRI CH

Select the priority channel.

5. DUAL WATCH

Options: On (active function. The radio will simultaneously monitor the

current channel and the priority channel) and O (inactive function).

6. SCAN MODE

Options:

• OS (Open Scan): the radio scans all the channels.

• GS (Group Scan): the radio only scans the memorized channels.

Note: If you have selected GS mode, the scan will not work if you do not

have channels saved in the scan list. Pressing the Monitor/SCAN button

will display the Er (error) icon on the screen.

Note 2: To save a channel in the scan list, ﬁrst set the GS mode, then

select the channel and long press the MENU key to save it. The M icon

will appear on the screen.

Scanning procedure

Brieﬂy press the Monitor/SCAN side key to start the channel scanning.

During the scan, the SC icon will blink on the screen. When the radio

detects a signal, the scan will stop at that channel. Press the Up or Down

key to continue scanning.

7. VOX

Options: OFF, 01 - 03.

When the VOX function is active, the radio transmits without pressing

the PTT key. Level 1, low sensitivity to environmental sounds. Level 03,

high sensitivity to environmental sounds.

8. BUSY CH LOCKOUT

Options: ON (active function) and OFF (inactive function).

When the function is active, the BCL icon appears on the right side

of the screen. This function prevents the transmission when the radio

receives a signal.

9. CALL

Select the tone for the call. 5 tones are available.

Note: To use the CALL function, switch the radio to CALL mode by long

pressing the multifunction key. Then, brieﬂy press the multifunction key

to make a call.

10. ROGER BEEP

Options: ON (active function) and OFF (inactive function).

When the function is active, at the end of the transmission, the radio will

emit a conﬁrmation sound

11. LAMP

Options: AUTO, ON, OFF.

AUTO: the backlight turns on when you press a key and turns o after

15 seconds.

ON: the backlight is always on.

OFF: the backlight is always o.

12. KEY BEEP

Options: ON (active function) and OFF (inactive function).

When the function is active, every time you press a key you will hear a

beep.

13. BATTERY SAVE

Options: ON (active function) and OFF (inactive function).

14. TOT (Timeout Timer)

Options: OFF (inactive function), 15S - 180S.

When this function is active, the radio limits the duration of the

transmission according to the setting made in the menu.

RESET

With the radio o, simultaneously press the PTT button and the

multifunction key while restarting the radio. “RESET” will brieﬂy appear

on the screen. After the reset, all settings will return to the factory

values.
