SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Technician Notes
Only authorized technicians should attem t to re air this
equi ment.
Before installing this system, carefully read all the manuals
included with the system.
All re air rocedures allow only module re lacement. Because of
the com lexity of the individual boards and sub-assemblies, no
one should attem t to make re airs at the com onent level or
make modifications to any rinted wiring board. Im ro er re airs
can create a safety hazard.
To reduce the risk of ersonal injury from electric shock and
hazardous energy levels, do not exceed the level of re airs
s ecified in these rocedures.
The system is designed to be electrically grounded. To ensure
ro er o eration, lug the AC ower cord into a ro erly grounded
AC outlet only.
Electrostatic Discharge Precautions
Electrostatic discharge (ESD) can damage static sensitive devices
or micro circuitry. Pro er ackaging and grounding techniques are
required to revent damage.
Kee electrostatic-sensitive arts in their containers until they
arrive at a static free work area.
Use a wrist stra connected to the work surface as well as
ro erly grounded tools and equi ment.
Kee the area free of nonconductive materials such as ordinary
lastic tools and foam ackaging.
Avoid touching ins, leads, or circuitry.
Always lace drives with rinted circuit board (PCB) assembly-side
down.
