Type E

USER MANUAL

Digital Manometer with Max.-/Min.-Display.

Accuracy: 0.5% FS typ.

The Reference Type E has two operating keys.

The left key is to turn the instrument on and

to execute its functions

(the functions appear successively on

the display as long as the key is pressed and

are executed when releasing the key).

The right key is used to switch between the MAX.-

and MIN.-value.

After turn-on, the instrument displays the pressure range

for two seconds before changing into the measuring mode.

The instrument has the following functions:

RESET: Max.-/Min.-value are set to the actual pressure

OFF: Turns off the instrument

ZERO: Sets a new Zero reference

CONT: Deactivates the automatic turn-off function

(this function is activated with factory settings,

meaning the instrument automatically turns off

15 min. after the last key function)

Notes:

1) If the ZERO- and/or CONT-function is activated, it is indicated on the display. In order to

reset the Zero to factory setting and/or to reactivate the automatic turn-off function, press

the left key until ZERO and/or CONT disappears.

2) If the actual pressure goes beyond the measuring range, OFL (overflow) appears on the

display.

Installation:

The Reference Type E has 7/16” UNF male thread and is delivered complete with an O-ring seal

swivel fitting which allows Reference Type E to be rotated through 360°.

Only minimal tightness is needed to seal up to 350 bar. Process pressure connection

is G 1/4” male.

Battery Change:

When the battery starts weakening, a low battery warning (BAT LOW) will appear in the upper left

corner of the display. For battery change, open the battery compartment and change the battery

(type CR 2430). The battery life is 1400 hours in normal measuring mode.

Ranges / Calibration:

The factory setting of the Zero for the range -1…40 bar is at 0 bar absolute. For sealed gauge

pressure measurements, activate “ZERO SEt” at ambient pressure.

Instruments with the range 0…350 bar are calibrated in a sealed gauge mode with 1 bar absolute

pressure as a Zero reference.
