► Always place the appliance on a heat-resistant surface.
1) Take all the parts out of the box and remove the packaging material and any
protective wrapping or stickers.
2) Clean all of the components as described in the Chapter "Cleaning and care"
to remove any packaging residue. Ensure that all parts are completely dry.
3) Place the appliance on a clean and level heat-resistant surface. Do not place
the appliance directly next to a wall or a cupboard. Each person should have
unimpaired access to the pans 6.
4) Place the stone griddle 5on one side of the appliance between the guide
rails. The fat channel around the edges must face upwards.
5) Place the griddle 1on the other side. The griddle 1 can be used on both
sides. If you use the grooved side of the griddle, your food will have the
typical grill pattern.
6) Push the pans 6into the device.

The appliance is assembled and set up as described above.
1) Insert the plug into a mains power socket. The power indicator lamp 4lights

► Depending on the room temperature, heating up will start at different
positions on the temperature control 2.
If you only want to use the raclette, allow the appliance to heat up for
