Operation and use

Filling the appliance with water

CAUTION! Fill the appliance only with distilled or purified water.

Never mix additives into the water! Use only the pads 0for the aroma additives.

Note: Before the first use, there may already be some water in the tank 1or in

the appliance. These are residues from test procedures in the production process

and do not represent a reduction in quality.

Distilled or purified water is usually available in supermarkets.

1) Make sure that the mains plug is not connected to a mains socket.

2) If inserted: Pull the tank 1out of the tank holder 3. The lower edge of the

tank 1protrudes slightly from the appliance. Lift the tank 1out of there.

SNIG 280 A1 GB│IE │ 7 ■

3) Open the cap 2. Fill 90 ml of water into the tank 1using the measuring cup

9and screw the cap 2back on. The tank 1 must not be filled to the brim with

water since water could overflow when the cap 2 is inserted.

4) Pour any remaining water out of the appliance via the tank holder 3. To do this,

tilt the appliance so that the water flows out on the side of the tank holder 3

where the mains cable 4is not located. Then dry the appliance with a dry

cloth.

5) Turn the tank 1so that the cap 2faces downwards. Place the tank 1in the

tank holder 3.

6) As soon as the tank 1is fully inserted, water runs into the appliance through

a water outlet.

Note: The cap 2of the tank 1is equipped with a water outlet so that the

inserted tank 1can supply the appliance with water. If the water outlet does

not work properly, check that the cap 2is assembled correctly (see section

Cleaning and maintenance, Fig. 5).

Fitting the attachment

1) Tilt the attachment 8slightly (Fig. 1) and put it on the nozzle 6. The two hooks

on the back of the attachment 8must engage in the recesses of the nozzle 6.

2) Turn the attachment 8clockwise until the holder 7is horizontal in the middle

of the attachment 8(Fig. 2).

Fig. 1 Fig. 2

3) To remove, turn back the attachment 8and pull it off the nozzle 6.
