3. INSTALLATION
3.1. Preliminary information
Note: Installation is possible only by using a personal WiFi router.
The SmartAir Cube air quality monitoring device has a 48-hour energy autonomy so it
can be placed anywhere in a room that complies with the Terms of Use (section 2.5).
The installation of the SmartAir Cube requires a source for powering, a WiFi router, and
a device to connect to the air quality monitoring application.
Before installation must be pressed the ON/OFF switch from the bottom of the Cube.
3.2. Power Supply
Feed the SmartAir Cube via the mini USB connector from a personal computer,
laptop, or USB network adapter.
3.3. Negotiating WiFi access
1st Step:
Make sure the device is charged and the cube led is not blinking red. Connect to
the device control panel via WiFi with the following credentials:
SSID: SmartAirCube
Password: 12345678
2nd Step:
Open up a web-browser on your PC/smartphone and go to the following

10
address:
http://192.168.1.28
This is the device network configuration panel. Enter your home network
credentials (SSID and password) and click Submit. The device is then going to connect
to your network and use it to send data to the mobile/web application. Make sure you
enter the correct information otherwise the connection will not be established.
You can return to this page at any time by doing a factory reset. (Press and hold
the button on your device for at least 2 seconds). There will be a confirmation indicator
(flashing red and green LEDs) after approx. 10 seconds.
The device sends data to the mobile application / web dashboard every ~15
seconds, after the connection has been established to a WiFi router.
If it losses connection to your network, the device will try to re-establish the
connection itself. If, however, it doesn’t succeed automatically, the red led will be
constantly on and you will need to press the reset button in order to manually reset it.
