Non-Thermostatic Handset
The handset GV60NTK is used with the Valor GV60
PLUS or MAX*receivers to turn the fire on or off
and the set the flame height. It has no thermostat
or programming functions and it does not shutdown
automatically. The handset shows the current time and
the room temperature.
*NOTE: The handset GV60NTK does not operate
the fan control, the lighting control or the duplex
burner fireplaces with GV60 MAX systems.
Synchronizing the NT handset to the remote
control receiver
The receiver and the handset of the remote control sys-
tem must be initially synchronized before the first use
of a new handset.
1. Insert alkaline batteries in the remote control
receiver and handset. The receiver is located left of
the control valve under the burner module.
2. With a sharp object, press and hold the receiver’s
reset button until you hear one short and one long
beeps. Release the reset button after the second
beep.
3. Within the subsequent 20 seconds, press the small
flame button ( ) on the remote handset until you
hear two short beeps confirming the sychronization
is set.
This is a one time setting only and is not required when
changing the batteries in the remote receiver. The
remote control system is now ready to use.

GV60NTK
Non-Thermostatic Kit
• The one-hour feature is maintained when using a
1265WSK wall switch.
• One handset can be used to synchronize multiple
receivers to activate the one-hour feature.
• Synchronizing the receiver again with a thermostatic
handset will reactivate the thermostat, programming
and auxiliary functions.
The non-thermostatic

logo only. It shows
the current time and

NOTE: Before using the remote control system with the new NT handset, the receiver and the new handset
must be synchronized. See previous page of this manual.
Remote Control Operation
IMPORTANT: BEFORE YOU BEGIN, please note that on this system, the settings of time and temperature can only be
set when the function display is flashing. Be patient when setting the handset as it can take a few seconds to set.

Turning your fireplace ON
IMPORTANT: When the pilot is lit, the valve motor
turns automatically to maximum flame height.
1. Make sure that the MAN knob on the valve is in ON position.
2. Make sure that the switch on the valve is in the Iposition (except on 650 and 1500 fireplace
models).
3. Press and hold the OFF and (large flame) buttons until you hear a short acoustic signal.
Release the buttons.
The acoustic signals will continue until the pilot lights. The flame will be at maximum height until
the remote control reads the temperature (factory set) and will then adjust the flame accordingly.
Turning your fireplace OFF
1. Press the (small flame) button to reduce the flame to pilot.
2. Press the OFF button to turn the pilot off.
Alternately, you can press the Obutton on the switch if you won’t use your fireplace for a long
period of time, if you cannot locate your remote control handset or if you wish to change the
batteries (except on 650 and 1500 fireplace models).

To communicate, the handset should be within 15 feet
(4.5 meters) of the fireplace.
Do not leave the handset on the mantel or hearth.

Flame Height
The flame height can be adjusted in the following manners.
1. Press the (large flame) button to turn on the main burner.
2. Press the (large flame) button to increase the flame height.
3. Press the (small flame) button to decrease the flame height or to go to pilot position.
For fine adjustments, tap the and buttons.
NOTE: While pressing either button, a symbol indicating transmission appears on the upper right
hand corner of the display. The receiver confirms transmission with an acoustic signal.

Time
To set the time, follow the steps below.
1. The display indicates °C/24-hour or °F/12-hour clock. To change from one to the other, press
and hold both the OFF and buttons until the display changes.
2. To set the time, hold down both the and buttons until the display flashes. Let go.
3. Quickly press the button to set the hour and the button to set the minutes.
Note: You must start setting the time while the display is flashing. If it stops flashing, go back to 2.
4. Press the OFF button.
Handset / Receiver Match
The remote control handset and receiver are programmed to function together. In case of a replacement of the handset
or the receiver, you will need to reset the receiver to allow them to function together. Contact your dealer for details
Low Battery Indication
Remote handset: BATT will appear on the display when
the battery needs to be replaced.
Replace with one 9 V alkaline battery.
Receiver: Three short ‘beeps’ will sound when the motor
turns when the batteries need to be replaced. Replace with four 1.5 V alkaline batteries.
NOTE: With very low battery, the valve shuts off the fire completely. This does not happen when the power supply is
interrupted.
CAUTION
DO NOT USE a screwdriver or other metallic object
to remove the batteries from the battery box or the
handset! This could cause a short circuit.

Manette sans thermostat
La manette GV60NTK peut être utilisée avec les
récepteurs de télécommande Valor GV60 PLUS or

fonctions thermostatique ou programmable ni d’arrêt
automatique. Son écran indique l’heure courante de
même que la température ambiante.
*NOTE : La manette GV60NTK ne peut être utilisée
pour faire fonctionner le ventilateur, l’éclairage
d’ambiance ou le brûleur double sur les foyers à
télécommande GV60 MAX.
Synchronisez la manette sans thermostat au
récepteur de la télécommande
1. Placez des piles alcalines dans le récepteur et la
manette. Le récepteur est situé sous le brûleur à
gauche de la soupape.
2. À l’aide d’un objet pointu, pressez et maintenez le
bouton RESET sur le récepteur jusqu’à ce que un
court et un long bips se fassent entendre. Relâchez
le bouton.
3. Dans le 20 secondes suivantes, pressez sur le
bouton de la petite flamme ( ) sur la manette
jusqu’à ce que vous entendiez deux courts bips
confirmant la synchronisation.
La télécommande est maintenant prête à être utilisée.
Cette procédure n’est effectuée qu’une seule fois avant
d’utiliser le contrôle à distance. La synchronisation
n’est pas affectée par le changement des piles.
• La manette sans thermostat est compatible avec
l’interrupteur mural 1265WSK.

de thermostat, programmation et les fonctions
auxiliaires.

NOTE : Avant d’utiliser la télécommande avec la nouvelle manette, le récepteur et la nouvelle manette doivent
être synchronisés. Consultez la page précédente de ce guide.
IMPORTANT : AVANT DE COMMENCER, prenez note que pour ce système, le réglage de l’heure, de la température et
de la fonction automatique ne peut être faite que lorsque l’écran pour la fonction désirée clignote. Une fois la pro-
grammation achevée, il faut quelque secondes au système pour l’enregistrer.

Pour allumer votre foyer
IMPORTANT : Une fois que la veilleuse sera allumée, les flammes
s’allumeront automatiquement à leur hauteur maximale.
1. Assurez-vous que le bouton de contrôle MAN sur la soupape est en position ON.
2. Assurez-vous que l’interrupteur Marche-arrêt est en position I (marche) (à l’exception des
foyers 650 et 1500).
3. Appuyez et maintenez les boutons OFF et (grande flamme) jusqu’à ce que vous entendiez
un court signal sonore. Relâchez les boutons.
Les signaux sonores continueront jusqu’à ce que la veilleuse soit allumée.
Pour éteindre votre foyer
1. Appuyez sur le bouton (petite flamme) pour réduire les flammes à la veilleuse.
2. Appuyez sur le bouton OFF pour éteindre la veilleuse.
Également, vous pouvez appuyez sur le bouton Ode l’interrupteur de la soupape pour éteindre
la veilleuse si vous n’utilisez pas votre foyer pour une période prolongée ou si vous avez égaré la
manette ou encore pour changer les piles (à l’exception des foyers 650 et 1500).

Pour assurer un bon signal, la manette devrait être à une
distance d’au plus de 15 pieds (4,5 mètre) du foyer.
Ne pas laisser la manette sur le manteau de
cheminée, la tablette ou la dalle devant le foyer.

Réglage des flammes
La hauteur des flammes peut être réglée de la façon suivante. Avec la veilleuse allumée,
1. Appuyez sur le bouton (grande flamme) pour allumer le brûleur.
2. Appuyez sur le bouton (grande flamme) pour augmenter la hauteur des flammes.
3. Appuyez sur le bouton (petite flamme) pour diminuer la hauteur des flammes ou pour aller en
position veilleuse.
Pour des réglages plus subtils, tapez légèrement et rapidement les boutons et .
NOTE : Lorsque vous appuyez sur un bouton, un symbole indiquant la transmission apparaîtra au
coin supérieur droit de l’écran. Un signal sonore indiquera que le récepteur reçoit la transmission.

Pour régler l’heure, suivez ces étapes.
1. L’écran indique ° C / 24-heure ou ° F / 12-heure. Pour changer l’affichage de º C à º F ou
l’inverse, appuyez et tenez les deux boutons OFF et jusqu’à ce que l’affichage change.
2. Appuyez sur les deux boutons et jusqu’à ce que l’écran clignote. Relâchez les boutons.
3. Appuyez rapidement sur pour régler l’heure et sur pour régler les minutes. Note : Vous de-
vez commencer à régler l’heure lorsque l’écran clignote. S’il a cessé de clignoter, recommencez
l’étape 2.
4. Appuyez sur OFF pour terminer le réglage.
Indicateur de remplacement des piles
Manette : L’indicateur BATT apparaîtra sur l’écran lorsque les
piles doivent être remplacées. Remplacez la pile de la manette
par une pile alcaline de 9 V.
Récepteur : Trois (3) court signaux sonores lorsque le moteur
de la soupape fonctionne indiquent que les piles doivent être remplacées. Remplacez les piles du récepteur par quatre
piles alcalines AA de 1.5 V.
NOTE : Lorsque les piles sont presqu’à plat, la soupape s’éteint. Ceci ne s’applique pas lorsque le courant est interrompu.
Réinitialisation
La manette et le récepteur sont programmés pour fonctionner ensemble. Dans le cas ou l’un ou l’autre devrait être
remplacé, vous devrez réinitialiser le récepteur pour leur permettre de fonctionner ensemble. Communiquez avec
votre marchand pour tous les détails.
MISE EN GARDE
N’UTILISEZ PAS de tournevis ou objet métallique
pour enlever les piles du récepteur ou de la manette
afin d’éviter de court-circuiter la télécommande.
