SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
- 4 -
UM-2 ELECTRIC KICK SCOOTER
DO NOT allow anyone to ride your scooter on his/her own unless they have
carefully read this manual. The safety of new riders is your responsibility. Assist
new riders until they are comfortable with the basic operation of the scooter. Make
sure the new rider wears a helmet and other protective gears.
For safety concerns, the top speed of this scooter is electronically limited to
approximately 19 mph (31 km/h), which can be affected by the rider's weight,
inclines, road surface condition, tire inflation, wind level, and battery charge level.
ALWAYS slow down when passing uneven ground surface. ALWAYS ride with
walking speed over speed bumps, thresholds, or any other bumps.
DO NOT apply the electronic brake violently due to the nature of such braking
system. It may rapidly decrease riding speed and the related kinetic energy may
cause riders to fall. Please brake carefully and practice. ALWAYS lean your body
backward while applying the electronic brake, or encounter a sudden drop in speed.
DO NOT touch the brake components or hub motor on your scooter when in use or
immediately after riding, as these parts can become very hot.
BE ALERT! Ride defensively, watch out for obstacles that could catch your wheel or
force you to swerve suddenly or lose control. Be careful to avoid pedestrians,
skaters, skateboards, scooters, bikes, children or animals that may enter your path.
DO NOT ride in the snow, in the rain, or on low traction surfaces or roads, which are
wet, muddy, icy, or slippery for any reason. This could result in a loss of balance or
traction and could cause a fall. Avoid sharp bumps, drainage grates, and sudden
surface changes.
ALWAYS hold tight to the handle bar and make sure steering is in control at all
times. DO NOT take your hands off the handlebar while riding or ride with one hand
only. DO NOT use your phone or other electronic devices while you are riding the
scooter, stay focus on the road. DO NOT do stunts, wheelies, or tricks on your
scooter. This scooter is not made to withstand abuse from misuse, including
jumping, curb grinding, or any other type of stunts.
DO NOT modify your scooter. Use only Anyhill approved parts and accessories.
Modifications to your scooter will interfere with the operation functionality and stability,
which could result in serious injury or damage. Any tuning measures will void the
Limited Warranty and make your ANYHILL UM-2 unsuitable for riding on public roads.
DO NOT put your scooter outdoors for a long time. Excessive sunlight, overheating
and overcooling will accelerate tire aging and compromise the scooter and the battery
pack's lifespan. When the scooter is not in use, keep it indoors where it is dry and cool.
