. Operating Instructions
.1 Inserting the batteries
The batteries make sure that the set time and alarm are kept during a power cut ( the time is
not displayed when running on the batteries). In order for the radio and CD player to work,
the mains lead must be plugged in.
1. Remove the battery cover on the device’s underside.
2. Place 2 x R03/AAA batteries (not included) in the battery compartment. Make sure the
batteries are correctly inserted according to the markings.
3. Replace the battery cover.
.2 Setting the time
1. Connect the mains lead to a wall socket. 12:00 should now ash on the display.
2. Press [CLOCK ADJ] (1). The clock’s digits will start to ash.
3. Set the desired time with [ MINUTE] and [ HOUR]
4. Press and hold [CLOCK ADJ] (1) for two seconds to alternate between the 12 (12h) and
24 (24h) hour clock. Press [CLOCK ADJ] (1) to conrm your choice.
When the clock radio is turned off the clock can still be set by pressing [CLOCK ADJ] (1)
and then [ MINUTE] and [ HOUR]. Press [CLOCK ADJ] (1) to conrm your settings.
.3 Listening to the radio
1. Press ON/OFF (9). The power indicator (C) should illuminate.
2. Select the desired frequency band (FM or AM) with the function
switch [CD/AM/FM/BUZZER] (10).
3. Set desired frequency with the [TUNING] (12) knob.
4. Adjust the aerial for the best possible FM reception. Position the radio for the best AM
reception (the AM aerial is built-in).
5. Adjust volume with the [VOLUME] (4) control.
. Listening to a CD
1. Open the CD door by pressing the [OPEN] (8) button.
2. Insert a CD into the CD compartment with the label facing upwards. Close the door by
gently pushing downwards.
3. Move the function switch [CD/AM/FM/BUZZER] (10) to the CD position. Press ON/OFF
(9). The power indicator (C) should illuminate.
4. The display now shows the number of tracks on the CD.
5. Start playback with [PLAY/PAUSE] (18).
• Stop: Push [STOP] (21) to stop playback.
• Pause: Press [PLAY/PAUSE] (18) to pause playback.
• Previous/Next: Press [ MINUTE] (19) to jump to the previous track or [ HOUR]
(20) to jump to the next track, etc.
• Search: Press and hold [ MINUTE] (19) or [ HOUR] (20) to search within the
track being played.
