Inserting batteries (2×AA/LR6)
1. When thesound starts to fade and the “weak battery symbol” starts to flash on
thedisplay and beeps are emitted periodically, itis time to change thebatteries.
2. Make sure that the [OFF/ON] switch is set to OFF.
3. Remove thebattery cover (9) and insert new batteries observing thepolarity
markings in thebattery compartment. Refitthebatterycover.
Operating instructions
Setting thetime
1. Make sure that the [OFF/ON] switch is set to OFF.
2. Press [ ] to enter theclock setmode.
3. Thehours digits will flash, press [▲] or [▼] to set thehour.
4. Press [ ] to advance to theminutes setting.
5. When you have set theclock, press [ ] to confirm.
Note: Ifno settings have been made for 15 seconds when theear defenders are in
clock set mode, they will automatically revert to thelast clock setting.
Listening to theradio
1. Turn the [OFF/ON] switch clockwise to switch theradio on and adjust thevolume.
2. Manual station search: Press [▲] or [▼] to tune into thedesired station.
3. Auto stationscan: Pressand hold down [▲] or [▼] for 2 seconds and then
release thebutton to start scanning for stations. Thescan stops automatically
when astation has beenfound.
4. Programming station presets (up to 8): Pressand hold down [ ], release when
“M” and anumber representing thepreset station have appeared on thedisplay.
Press [▲] or [▼] to change thenumber of thesaved station.
5. Press [ ] to confirm.
Listening to apreset station
Press [MEM] to select astation, each time you press [MEM] you will advance to
thenext preset station.
Note: Whenanexternal audio source has been connected to theAUX-IN socket,
thebuilt-in radio will automatically be disconnected.
Volume
• Turn [ON/OFF] clockwise to raise thevolume.
• Turn [ON/OFF] anticlockwise to lower thevolume.
AUX-IN
1. Connect anexternal audio source with a3.5mm plug to theAUX-IN socket.
2. Theradio will automatically be disconnected.
Note: Thevolume of anMP3 player can be controlled form both theMP3 player and
theear defenders.
