adsbSCOPE
adsbSCOPE receives ADS-B-frames from the decoder (via a virtual
COM-port) and decodes the data. It identifies the aircraft and
calculates their positions. All important parameters are shown in
alphanumeric form, in a table and on a graphic display.
adsbSCOPE lists all detected aircraft in a table (right). All aircraft with
known coordinates are show in a graphic display (left).
The graphic display shows:
- the world globe with latitude and longitude
- the coastlines of all continents
- the position of more then 4000 airports
- some big town
- tracks of all detected aircraft labeled with altitude, speed,
identifier, heading, squawk...
- open-street-map-maps as background image
The outlines and names of all stated of the world can be overlaid
(menu: load Maps). Some of the necessary maps are contained in the
software, the remaining maps can be downloaded and installed
automatically from internet (menu: load Maps -> download maps
from internet).
Runways can be shown as well, if the necessary files were
downloaded from www.jetvision.de .
For setting up the user position turn the map with holding the left
mouse button to the desired current location and fix it with the menu
button "set receiver location" (see picture). Then save your settings
under menu “File” -> “save as” or “save default”.
