100 Watt Explosion Proof LED Wall Pack Light with Glare Shield

Surface Mount - 11,667 Lumens -C1D1

Instruction Manual

This explosion proof light is designed for illumination of industrial locations. It uses the latest in

solid state lighting technology for long life, low maintenance and high efficiency.

The unique design focuses the light where it is needed, giving improved efficiency over a

conventional HID luminaire.

WARNING

To avoid the risk of fire, explosion or electric shock, this product should be installed, inspected

and maintained by a qualified electrician only, in accordance with all applicable electrical codes.

To avoid electric shock:

Be certain electrical power is OFF before and during installation and maintenance.

Luminaire must be connected to a wiring system with an equipment-grounding conductor.

To avoid explosion:

Make sure the supply voltage is within the luminaires’ voltage rating.

Ensure the marked T rating is less than the ignition temperature of the Hazardous

Atmosphere.

Do not operate in ambient temperatures above those indicated on the luminaire nameplate.

Do not operate if the lens is cracked or damaged. All fasteners should be properly seated.

For supply connections, use wire rated for at least 110°C

Recommended mounting height is 25-40 feet.

MOUNTING

This fixture offers an adjustable surface mounting system that allows this fixture to be mounted to any

flat surface including walls and ceilings. A single ½-13 bolt is used to mount the fixture to the

surface.

1. Using bolts, washers and nuts provided, attach brackets “A” to both sides of

bracket “B”.

2. The LED fixture has 9 holes for a versatile mount option. Select the holes that you would like

to use.

3. Brackets “A” will then be bolted to the LED fixture with the remaining bolts and washers.

4. The fixture is now ready for installation.

WIRING (see attached wiring diagram)

This unit comes preconfigured with selected voltage and beam angle. Once mounted, wire cord

according to diagram with correct voltage on nameplate!

WIRING

1. Connect supply wires to luminaire wire leads (or terminal blocks) using methods that comply

with all applicable codes. Tighten all electrical connections.

2. Close cover module, making sure that all wires are safely inside driver. Tighten captive closing

screw.

3. Close all unused conduit entries with conduit plugs. To ensure water-tightness, lubricate

conduit plugs with lubricant before installing, and secure wrench-tight with at least five (5) full

threads engaged (42-52 ft.-lb. for 3/4” plugs, and 58-68 ft.-lb. for 1” plugs).

4. Turn power on and aim.

MAINTENANCE

1. Perform visual, electrical, and mechanical inspections on a regular basis. The environment and

frequency of use should determine this. However, it is recommended that checks be made at

least once a year. We recommend an Electrical Preventive Maintenance Program as

described in the National Fire

2. Protection Association Bulletin NFPA No. 70B: Recommended Practice for Electrical

Equipment Maintenance (www.nfpa.org).

3. The lens should be cleaned periodically to ensure continued lighting performance. To clean,

wipe the lens with a clean, damp cloth. If this is not sufficient, use a mild soap or a liquid

cleaner such as Collinite NCF or Duco #7. Do not use an abrasive, strong alkaline, or acid

cleaner. Damage may result.

4. Visually check for undue heating evidenced by discoloration of wires or other components,

damaged parts, or leakage evidenced by water or corrosion in the interior. Replace all worn,

damaged, or malfunctioning components, and clean gasket seals before putting the luminaire

back into service.

5. Electrically check to make sure that all connections are clean and tight.

6. Mechanically check that all parts are properly assembled.
