Congratulations on your purchase of the VISION Line™ Flatcar with LCD
Billboard! This technically advanced freight car features an operating 3.5 inch LCD billboard
that displays customized images, plays picture slideshows, video clips, and more. The LCD
billboard can be removed from the flatcar, so place it anywhere on your layout. Recharge the
battery easily with the included 120 volt power adapter, and connect the billboard to your
computer with the included USB cable. An easy way to add a new dimension to your layout,
this VISION Line freight car gives you the chance to personalize your train environment with a
slideshow of your own making.

Note!
Charge the Battery
1. Connect the USB end of the cable into the USB port on the side of the billboard
(see Figure 4)
2. Plug the other end into a power outlet. At the top of the display screen, you will see a
"Charging" message.
3.Charge the unit until you see the message at the top of the display screen change to
"Charge Complete".

View Preloaded Images
1. Press and hold down Power/Confirm button for a few seconds to turn the billboard on. The
main Menu Screen will appear. (see Figure 5)
2. Use the arrow buttons to scroll through the Main Menu options until the Pictures icon is
highlighted, and then press the Power/Confirm button to activate
3. Your display screen will now play the preloaded pictures at default settings
Note: If the billboard remains powered on in the Main Menu, after a few minutes the display
screen will automatically begin to display the preloaded image, even if you do not choose the
Pictures icon.
You can also charge the billboard by connecting your billboard directly
to your PC with the USB 2.0 Cable

View Images that are on a SD/MM Card
You can also insert play you own images that are on an SD/MM Card:
1. Insert an SD or MultiMedia card into the memory card port(see Figure 2)
2. Use the arrow buttons to scroll through the Main Menu options until the Pictures icon is
highlighted, and then press the Power/Confirm button to activate
3. Your display screen will now play the pictures on the memory card at default settings
Images on the memory card will begin to play automatically immediately after it is
inserted into the SD/MMC slot
Customize Image Default Settings
You can also customize image and slideshow settings on your billboard (for example, chang-
ing the Transition effects or the Interval time between images, Brightness, etc):
1. On the Main Menu screen, scroll through options until the SETUP icon is highlighted, and
then press the Power/Confirm button to activate. A new SETUP Screen will appear
2. Use Power/Confirm button to scroll through the various settings until you reach the setting
you wish to customize
3. Use the left and right arrow buttons to customize the desired setting
4. Press the Menu button to return to the Main Menu screen
5. Use the arrow buttons to scroll through the Main Menu options until the Pictures icon is
highlighted, and then press the Power/Confirm button to activate
6. Your display screen will now play the pictures at your new customized settings

Connect to a PC
Transferring files to external SD/MM card
You can transfer images, videos and text files directly to the external SD/MM card by connect-
ing the billboard to your computer via the USB cable included.
1. Insert a SD/MM card into the billboard (one has been provided)
2. Connect USB 2.0 cable into the USB slot on the side of the billboard.
3. Connect the other end into the USB slot on your PC.
4. Turn your billboard on by holding the Power/Confirm button down a few seconds.
5. Press the menu button twice to connect to your PC.
6. In your computer browser, you will notice the SD/MM card will be mounted as an external
device.
7. Drag and drop images directly to the removable SD/MM card.
8. To dismount the SD/MM card, press the Power/Confirm button one time.
To transfer files to the internal memory using the DPFMate350.exe utility
Files can only be transferred to the internal memory using the DPFMate350.exe utility pro-
vided on the unit. The utility will be automatically run when you connect the billboard to your
computer. The available memory space is limited to ~500Kb. This utility will not transfer files
to the external SD/MM card.
1. To add pictures, simply drag an image into the upper right box. Repeat to add more pic-
tures, and then press "Download" to copy the images onto the billboard.
2. To remove pictures, simply click on any image to select and press the "Delete" button on
the screen.
3. To exit, press the Power/Confirm button one time.

Video Mode
Creating Videos
The Billboard can display MJP (MotionJPG) formatted videos. A utility has been
provided to convert other video formats to MJP formatted files. Once a MJP file is cre-
ated, transfer it to the removable SD media card and select Video Mode.
The MotionJPG conversion software is contained in the MotionJPG.rar archive file.
This software is located on the external SD/MM card included with the billboard.
Unpack the RAR by double clicking on the file. A MotionJPG folder will be created
containing the following files.

Double click on MotionJPG.exe to launch program.
Press the select button to select an input video file to be converted.
Push the convert button to convert the video to a MJP file in the specified directory.
Drag and drop the file to your Billboard removable media card.
Clock Mode
1. Insert SD or MM card into memory card slot.
2. Go to main interface and choose clock mode.
3. Clock will play automatically.

Time / Calendar mode
1. Choose clock mode in the main menu and push the Power / confirm button once.
2. Press the Power / Confirm button once and the year will start blinking press the
scroll button to the desired year, then press the Power / Confirm button to set.
3. Press the Power / Confirm button once and the month will start blinking press the
scroll button to the desired month, then press the Power / Confirm button to set.

Book / Text mode
1. Simple book or text (.txt) files can be displayed on your billboard using this
feature.
Other Features
Sleep mode
1. Choose sleep mode in the main menu and push the Power / confirm button once.
This will turn off the unit.
