Thank you for purchasing the Mellanox InfiniScale IV 36-port InfiniBand Switch System.

Each switch is shipped with the following items:

Installation

Installation and initialization of the switch platform are straightforward processes, requiring attention to the nor-

mal mechanical, power, and thermal precautions for rack-mounted equipment. Installation instructions and

safety warnings can be found in the user manual on the enclosed CD or at:

The user manual also has instructions for:

• Mellanox MTS3600 switch • One or two hot-swappable auto-sensing power supply units

• One hot-swappable fan unit • One or two power cords

• Quick Start Guide (this document) • CD ROM with User’s Manaual

• Hot-swapping the power supply unit • Connecting to optional management interfaces

• Hot-swapping the fan unit • Updating the firmware

Firmware

Your Mellanox switch comes with the latest firmware available at the time of production. Please check

http://www.mellanox.com/support/firmware_table_IS4.php for the latest releases.

Mellanox management tools can be found at: http://www.mellanox.com/products/management_tools.php

Read the user manual corresponding to your Operating System.

Software

It is recommended that Mellanox OpenFabrics software stacks be installed on all nodes connected to the

MTS3600. MLNX_OFED for Linux environments and MLNX_WinOF for Microsoft®Windows®provide a

subnet manager and network management tools as well as connectivity software for servers and storage. These

packages can be found at: http://www.mellanox.com/products/software.php.
