Health & Safety

The use of any electrical appliance requires the following common sense safety rules.

Please read these instructions carefully before using the product.

• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and

above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental

capabilites, or lack of experience and knowledge, if they have

been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the

appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

• Children shall not play with the appliance.

• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children

unless they are older than 8 and under supervision.

• Keep the appliance and it’s cord out of reach of children less

than 8 years.

• This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar

applications such as: farm houses, by clients in hotels, motels

and other residential type environments, and bed and breakfast

type environments.

It is not suitable for use in staff kitchen areas in shops, offices

and other working environments.

Location

• Always locate your appliance away from the edge of the worktop.

• Ensure that the appliance is used on a firm, flat, heat resistant

surface.

• Do not use the appliance outdoors or near water.

Mains cable

• The mains cable should reach from the socket to the appliance

without straining the connections.

• Do not let the mains cable hang over the edge of the worktop or

open space where a child could reach it.

• Do not let the cable run across a cooker or hot area which might

damage the cable.

• If the supply cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the

manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified

Personal safety

• WARNING: Do not touch the top of the appliance or other hot

parts during or after use, use handles or knobs.

• To protect against the risk of electrical shock do not put base in

water or in any other liquid.

• Do not touch hot surfaces. Use oven gloves or a cloth when

removing lid or handling hot containers.

• Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance

containing hot food, water, or other hot liquids.

Other safety considerations

• Do not switch on the Slow Cooker if the Cooking Pot is empty.

• Allow the Glass Lid and Cooking Pot to cool before immersing in

water.

• Never cook directly in the Base Unit. Use the Cooking Pot.

• Do not use the Cooking Pot or Glass Lid if cracked or chipped.

• Do not switch on the appliance when it is upside down or laid on

it’s side.

• The Glass Lid and Cooking Pot are fragile. Handle them with care.

• The use of attachments or tools not recommended by Morphy

Richards may cause fire, electric shock or injury.

• Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated

oven.

• Unplug from the socket when not in use, before putting on or

taking off attachments, and before cleaning.

Electrical requirements

Check that the voltage on the rating plate of your appliance

corresponds with your house electricity supply which must be

A.C. (Alternating Current).

Should the fuse in the mains plug require changing, a 3 amp

BS1362 fuse must be fitted.

WARNING: This appliance must be earthed.

Verwendungsort

• Stellen Sie Ihr Gerät immer von der Kante der Arbeitsfläche

entfernt auf.

• Achten Sie darauf, dass das Gerät auf einer festen, ebenen,

hitzebeständigen Oberfläche verwendet wird.

• Verwenden Sie das Gerät nicht im Freien oder in der Nähe von

Wasser.

Netzkabel

• Das Netzkabel sollte von der Steckdose bis zum Gerät reichen,

ohne die Anschlüsse zu überdehnen.

• Lassen Sie das Netzkabel nicht über den Rand der Arbeitsfläche

oder einen Freiraum hängen, wo ein Kind es greifen könnte.

• Lassen Sie das Kabel nicht über eine Kochplatte oder eine heiße

Fläche laufen, die das Kabel beschädigen könnte.

• Wenn das Stromkabel beschädigt ist, muss es durch den

Hersteller, einen Servicemitarbeiter oder eine andere, ähnlich

qualifizierte Person ersetzt werden, um Gefahren zu vermeiden.

Persönliche Sicherheit

• WARNUNG: Berühren Sie während oder nach dem Gebrauch

nicht die Oberseite oder andere heiße Teile des Geräts,

verwenden Sie die Griffe oder Drehregler.

• Um das Risiko eines Stromschlags zu vermeiden, darf das

Unterteil des Schongarers nicht in Wasser oder andere

Flüssigkeiten getaucht werden.

• Heiße Oberflächen nicht berühren. Benutzen Sie Topfhandschuhe

oder ähnliches, wenn Sie den Deckel entfernen oder den heißen

Behälter anfassen.

• Äußerste Vorsicht ist geboten, wenn der Schongarer

mit heißen Speisen, heißem Wasser oder anderen heißen

Flüssigkeiten gefüllt transportiert wird.

Weitere Sicherheitsbestimmungen

• Schalten Sie den Schongarer nicht ein, wenn der Keramikeinsatz

leer ist.

• Lassen Sie den Glasdeckel und den Keramikeinsatz abkühlen,

bevor Sie ihn in Wasser eintauchen.

• Benutzen Sie niemals das Unterteil direkt zum Garen. Benutzen

Sie dafür den Keramikeinsatz.

• Verwenden Sie den Keramikeinsatz bzw. den Glasdeckel nicht,

wenn dieser Risse oder Absplitterungen aufweist.

• Schalten Sie das Gerät nicht ein, wenn es auf dem Kopf steht

oder auf der Seite liegt.

• Der Glasdeckel und der Keramikeinsatz sind zerbrechlich. Gehen

Sie vorsichtig mit diesen um.

• Bei der Verwendung von Zubehör oder Utensilien, die nicht von

Morphy Richards empfohlen wurden, besteht Brand-,

Stromschlag- oder Verletzungsgefahr.

• Stellen Sie das Gerät nicht auf oder in die Nähe eines heißen

Gas- oder Elektroherds oder in einen heißen Ofen.

• Ziehen Sie den Stecker aus der Steckdose, wenn Sie das Gerät

nicht benutzen, bevor Sie Aufsätze anbringen oder entfernen und

bevor Sie das Gerät reinigen.

Elektrische Anforderungen

Vergewissern Sie sich, dass die erforderliche Stromversorgung

laut Typenschild des Gerätes mit Ihrem Hausanschluss

übereinstimmt; es muss ein Wechselstromanschluss (A.C.) sein.

Muss die Sicherung am Netzstecker ausgetauscht werden, so ist

eine 3-Amp-BS1362-Sicherung zu verwenden.

• Mantenga el aparato y su cable fuera del alcance de niños

• Este aparato está previsto para su uso en aplicaciones

y en entornos de alojamiento con desayuno.

No es apto para su uso en zonas de cocina de personal en

Colocación

• Coloque siempre el aparato lejos del borde de la encimera.

• Asegúrese de que el aparato se usa sobre una superficie firme,

plana y resistente al calor.

• No use el aparato en exteriores ni cerca de agua.

Cable de red eléctrica

• El cable de red eléctrica debe ir desde la toma de corriente hasta

el aparato sin tensar las conexiones.

• No deje que el cable de red eléctrica cuelgue por el borde de la

encimera o en un espacio abierto en el que un niño pueda

cogerlo.

• No permita que el cable discurra sobre una olla o una zona

caliente que pudiera dañar el cable.

• Si el cable de alimentación está dañado, debe ser sustituido por

el fabricante, su agente de servicio técnico u otra persona con

cualificación similar, para evitar daños y peligros.

Seguridad personal

• ADVERTENCIA: No toque la parte superior del aparato ni otras

partes calientes durante o después del uso. Utilice las asas o los

botones.

• Para protegerse contra el riesgo de descarga eléctrica, no ponga

la base en agua ni en ningún otro líquido.

• No toque superficies calientes. Utilice guantes para horno o un

paño al retirar la tapa o manipular recipientes calientes.

• Hay que tener sumo cuidado a la hora de mover un aparato que

contenga comida caliente, agua u otros líquidos calientes.

Otras consideraciones de seguridad

• No encienda la olla eléctrica de cocción lenta si el recipiente de

cocción está vacío.

• Deje que la tapa de cristal y el recipiente de cocción se enfríen

antes de meterlos en agua.

• Nunca cocine directamente en la unidad base. Utilice el recipiente

de cocción.

• No use el recipiente de cocción ni la tapa de cristal si están

agrietados o descascarillados.

• No encienda el aparato cuando esté boca abajo o tumbado de

lado.

• La tapa de cristal y el recipiente de cocción son frágiles.

Manéjelos con cuidado.

• El uso de accesorios o herramientas no recomendados por

Morphy Richards puede provocar incendios, descargas eléctricas

o lesiones.

• No se debe colocar sobre un fogón eléctrico o de gas caliente,

dentro de un horno caliente, ni cerca de los mismos.

• Desenchúfelo de la toma de corriente cuando no se esté usando,

antes de poner o retirar accesorios, y antes de limpiarlo.

Requisitos eléctricos

Compruebe que la tensión de la placa de características de su

aparato se corresponde con el suministro eléctrico de su hogar,

que debe ser de C.A. (corriente alterna).

Si fuera necesario cambiar el fusible del enchufe de conexión a la

red eléctrica, se debe instalar un fusible BS1362 de 3 amperios.

ADVERTENCIA: Este aparato debe estar conectado a tierra.

forem vigiadas e instruídas acerca da utilização do aparelho de

ser realizadas por crianças, a não ser que tenham mais de 8

Localização

• Coloque o aparelho sempre afastado da extremidade da

bancada.

• Certifique-se de que o aparelho é utilizado numa superfície firme,

plana e resistente ao calor.

• Não utilize o aparelho em espaços exteriores nem perto de água.

Cabo de alimentação

• O cabo de alimentação deve percorrer toda a distância entre a

tomada e o

aparelho, sem esforçar as ligações.

• Não permita que o cabo de alimentação fique pendurado sobre a

extremidade da

bancada ou de um espaço aberto, onde uma criança possa

chegar.

• Não permita que o cabo passe por cima de um fogão ou área

quente que possa danificar o cabo.

• Em caso de danificação do cabo de alimentação, este tem de ser

substituído pelo fabricante, pelo respetivo técnico de reparação

ou pessoal com qualificação equivalente para evitar exposição a

um perigo.

Segurança individual

• AVISO: Não toque na parte superior do aparelho ou outras partes

quentes durante ou após o uso, use pegas ou botões.

• Para proteger contra o risco de choque elétrico, não coloque a

base na água nem em qualquer outro líquido.

• Não toque em superfícies quentes. Utilize luvas de forno ou um

pano quando retirar as tampas ou manusear recipientes quentes.

• Tem de ter muito cuidado ao mover um aparelho que contenha

alimentos, água ou outros líquidos quentes.

Outras considerações de segurança

• Não ligue a panela de cozedura lenta se a panela estiver vazia.

• Deixe a tampa de vidro e a panela arrefecerem antes de

as imergir na água.

• Nunca cozinhe diretamente na unidade de base. Utilize a panela.

• Não utilize a panela ou a tampa de vidro se estiverem rachadas

ou lascadas.

• Não ligue o aparelho quando estiver virado para baixo ou deitado

de lado.

• A tampa de vidro e a panela são frágeis. Manuseie-as com

cuidado.

• A utilização de acessórios ou ferramentas não recomendados

pela Morphy Richards pode provocar um incêndio, choque

elétrico ou ferimentos.

• Não coloque sobre nem perto de um fogão elétrico ou a gás

quente, nem dentro de um forno aquecido.

• Desligue o aparelho da tomada quando este não estiver a ser

utilizado, antes de adicionar ou retirar acessórios e antes da

limpeza.

Requisitos elétricos

Verifique se a tensão na placa de classificação do

aparelho corresponde à fonte de alimentação elétrica da sua

casa, que deve ser CA (Corrente Alternada).

Caso o fusível na ficha de corrente deva ser trocado, deve ser

colocado um fusível BS1362 de 3 amperes.

AVISO: Este aparelho deve ser ligado à terra.
