Make sure that the installation is

carried out:

• in accordance with the data label.

Check the type label.

• by qualified personnel.

• in accordance with local codes.

• in accordance with local

regulations.

When installation work is completed,

check that:

• all screws are well tightened;

• all parts that might come in contact

with the resident do not have any

sharp edges or cracks;

• all hoses, pipes and connections are

intact and without defects;

• the connection hoses are without

any sharp bend;

• all functions of the bath work

normally. Adjust if necessary.

The Century Bath is delivered in one box .

WARNING!

To avoid back injuries:

Installation of this unit requires a mini-

mum of two people.

Introduction

Remove the wooden lid and then the box

covering the product.

Placing the Century into its

correct position

Unpack the Century and put it in correct

place according to:

• Drainage

(See section Drain Installation),

• water supply

(See section Water Installation) and

• against a wall.

Place the Century by lifting in the upper

part of the door opening, one person at

each side of the tub. (See Fig. 1)

Assemble the floor fixtures

1 Place the floor fixtures (included in

delivery)againstthe tworear legs,as

shown in the illustration.

(See Fig. 2)

2 Using the floor fixtures as templates,

mark the location of the feet and of

the four mounting holes on the floor.

(See Fig .3)

Remove the floor fixtures and save

them for the mounting.

(See section Mounting of floor

fixtures.)

Move the Century out from the wall.

Preparations

CAUTION!

During the unpacking of this product,

always make sure that ALL staples are

fully removed when removing the outer

cover. This will prevent damage to the

laminate surface.

the pallet

Prior to moving the bath into its final

position, check:

• Water service, stop and mixing

valves, lines, spout etc.

• House drain system ready for

hook-up.

• Provision is made for electrical

service to interior junction box.

• First check that the electrical supply

correspondswith theinformation on

the label on the backside of the

panel.

• The unit must be permanently

installed.

• The unit must be continuously

powered and connected to separate

fuse with ground fault circuit

interrupter.

• Main switch must be placed close to

the tub and visable for the user.

• Power supply is activated via the

main switch.

• Fuses according to EN60898.

The unit shall be electrically connected

with the following equipment

(not included in delivery):

• Separate fuse.

• Ground fault circuit

interrupter (10mA)

• Safety switch, according to

regulations and local codes.

• Mains cable

(3x16AWG / 3x1.5 mm2)

All electrical installations must comply

with the US National Electrical Code and

the Canadian Electrical Code respectively.

Connect the wires as described below:

Neutral to the blue wire (N)

Phase to the brown wire (L)

Equipotential bonding

The unit must be connected from the

bonding point labeled on the unit to the

equipotential bonding point of the room.

(See Fig. 1)

Earth ground continuity test

Have a certified electrician perform

earth ground continuity tests between all

locations indicated: (See Fig. 2)

1 Earth bonding lug

2 All metal surfaces

3 Transducer earth grounding stud

(hydrosound only)

4 GND, yellow/green wire

•Donot use an audible tone type con-

tinuity tester for this test.

The use of a digital type resistance

meter capable of measuring and

displaying resistance of 1 ¾ or less

is suggested.

• A firm contact pressure on both

contact points of the meter probes

is necessary to measure resistance

1 ¾ or less.

WARNING!

A certified electrician must, following

installation, ensure that the earth

ground continuity exists at locations

marked in the figure. The resistance

shall be 0.2 ¾ or less.

Corrective action must be taken if resi-

stance is above 0.2 ¾.

Min. drainage capacity 22 gallons/min

(100 l/min).

Century is equipped with a flexible

drainage hose with an inside diameter

of 1 1/4" (32 mm).

Century must be connected to drain in the

floor or in the wall. The possible area for

drain in the floor is marked out on the

picture to the right. (See Fig. 1)

When floor drain is applied, the enclosed

end cap should be attached to the grating

of the floor drain. See illustration.

Airgap if needed.

Connections must be done in accordance

with local regulations. (See Fig. 2)

IMPORTANT!

The water hoses must be installed within sight.

They must not be walled up, installed in narrow tunnels or in places where they cannot be reached and inspected.

The water hoses must not be insulated or covered with insulating materials.

IMPORTANT!

Do not install water hoses in tension or torsion.

IMPORTANT!

Do not install water hoses with bending radius (R) less than those quoted in the illustration.

Water supply

The water supply can be arranged

according to two main alternatives:

1 Water connection from floor.

2 Water connection from wall.

See section Overall dimensions.

CAUTION!

The enclosed connection hoses should be

without sharp bends to avoid damage which

could cause leakage.

Adjustable thermostat

When the water installation is

completed the thermostat mixer must be

calibrated as follows:

1 Activate the shower (a).

2 Turn the mixer knob to maximum

heat (b).

3 Loosen the two stop screws (c).

4 Adjust the screw (d) until the dis-

play shows the maximum set value,

41°C (106°F).

5 Fasten the two stop screws (c).

6 Check the actual water temperature

with a calibrated thermometer.

7 Turn the knob to cold and then back

to maximum heat to check the set

temperature value.

Calibration of the thermostat mixer

WARNING!

Failure to calibrate the thermostat

mixer may cause scalding.

WARNING!

Make sure that the HOT water supply

has a stable temperature and represents

the maximum hot water temperature

available before the calibration

procedurestarts.Record the temperature

value of the hot water supply in the

commissioning report.
