TRANSMITTER PROGRAMMING GUIDE

Model : AA95BT3/AA-95BT3S

The transmitters included with the system have been pre-programmed at the

factory,witheachbuttonpre-assignedtocontrolaspecificfunctionofthesystem.

Although the system in the vehicle has either a 2, 3 or 4 channel RECEIVER,

dependingonthemodel,thetransmittersincludedwiththesystemare7channel

transmitters. This allows you to program each transmitter to more than one

vehicleintwocarfamilies,andalsoallowsyoutochangewhichbuttonorbuttons

controlcertainfunctionsofthesystem.(Example:Transmitterchannel5,shown

below, can be programmed to activate Receiver channel 2.) Refer to the chart

belowforaccesstoeachofthetransmitterchannels,andforthestandardfactory

button assignments.

PROGRAMMING THE TRANSMITTERS

Itisimportant to remember that during programming,eachindividual step of the

procedure must be executed within 15 seconds of the previous step.

Whenthe15secondtime limit is allowed to expire, the system will automatically

terminatetheprogrammingmode.Thisisindicatedbyalongchirpfromthesiren.

Additionally, the system will store codes from up to four different transmitters. If

a5thtransmitterisprogrammedtoanyreceiverchannel,thenthefirsttransmitter

programmed to that channel will be erased from the system's memory.

Note: TheLED,andsirenreferencedbelowmaynotbeavailableonallmodels.

In these cases, where siren is referenced, the parking lights will instead

flash.

To program new or additional transmitters,

1. Enter the vehicle, and turn the ignition key to the " on " position.

2. Flip the valet/program switch on - off - on - off - on - then off.

3. The dash LED will flash one time, and the siren will chirp one time, indicating

the system is ready to accept programming for receiver channel 1.

4. Pressandholdtheselectedtransmitterbutton(s)untilthesirensoundsalong

chirp, indicating the signal has been stored into memory.

5. If you have additional transmitters ( up to 3 ) that need to be programmed,

repeat step 4 for each transmitter.

6. Flip the valet/program switch on then off.

7. ThedashLEDwillflashtwotimes,andthesirenwillchirptwotimes,indicating

the system is ready to accept programming for receiver channel 2.

8. Pressandholdtheselectedtransmitterbutton(s)untilthesirensoundsalong

chirp, indicating the signal has been stored into memory.

9. If you have additional transmitters ( up to 3 ) that need to be programmed,

repeat step 8 for each transmitter.

10. Flip the valet/program switch on then off.

11. The dash LED will flash three times, and the siren will chirp three times,

indicatingthesystemisreadytoacceptprogrammingforreceiverchannel3.

12. Press and hold the selected transmitter button ( s ) until the siren sounds a

long chirp, indicating the signal has been stored into memory.

13. If you have additional transmitters ( up to 3 ) that need to be programmed,

repeat step 12 for each transmitter.

14. Flip the valet/program switch on then off.

15. The dash LED will flash four times, and the siren will chirp four times,

indicating the system is ready to accept programming for receiver channel 4.

16. Press and hold the selected transmitter button ( s ) until the siren sounds a

long chirp, indicating the signal has been stored into memory.

17. If you have additional transmitters ( up to 3 ) that need to be programmed,

repeat step 16 for each transmitter.

18. Turn the ignition key off. The siren will sound one short chirp then one long

chirp indicating the system has terminated the program mode.

NOTE: Some systems have only 2 or 3 programmable receiver channels. If

duringtheprogramsteps11orstep15,thesirenemittedshortthenlong

chirp indicating the transmitter program mode has been exited, this

indicates you system has either 2 or 3 receiver channels.

BATTERYREPLACEMENT:

Thetransmitterincorporatesa smallLEDseenthroughthecase lens. ThisLED

can be used to indicate battery condition. You will notice a decrease in

transmitterrangeasthe battery condition deteriorates. To replace the battery...

1. Removethetransmittercoverbyremovingthetwosmallscrewfromtheback

of the transmitter case.

2. Carefully unsnap the top cover of the transmitter from the bottom cover.

3. Removethedischargedbattery,makingnoteofthe

orientation of the + and - contacts, and dispose of

properly. Install the new (type GP23A) battery,

taking care to orient the + and - contacts properly.

4. Replace the transmitter cover, taking care not to

damage the LED or switches on the circuit board.

Reinstall the case screws. You will notice a

decrease in transmitter range as the battery

condition deteriorates. Transmitter battery

replacement is recommended at least every 10

to 12months,dependinguponhowfrequentlythe

transmitter is used.

NOTE: The AA-95BT3 and AA-95BT3S transmitters both use the same

programming guide. To insure you receive the proper replacement

transmitter, locate the correct model number on the back of the

transmittercase. Circlethepropermodelwhenorderingeitherofthese
